From Jimmy's foster family: He has become part of our family immediately! He is gentle, quiet, and gets along great with our dogs. Great with cats too. A quick learner for our dog door and steps, neither had he used before. Still working on some house training. Jimmy is crate trained, sleeps all night, and walks well on a leash. He loves attention but does not crave it. We love this boy! And to think that Jimmy was found in a ditch...FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Jimmy Dean's adoption fee is $350. His previous family describes him as a good boy who simply needs some additional training to help him learn how to settle and manage his excitement. With his Heeler/Corgi heritage, Blue is an intelligent, energetic boy who will thrive with someone willing to provide plenty of exercise, structure, mental stimulation, and consistent training. Bluey does well with the 7-year-old child in his foster home. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
