Story
Kona is a female tri-color corgi, 13 years old. Very sweet with lots of personality. Due to spine problems, she can no longer walk on her own. She does well with a sling—-going outside to potty and go for short walks. However, this requires a strong person without back or shoulder problems. We are seniors with physical health issues and are no longer able to take care of her. She has been staying with a dog sitter at her home for the past four months. The dog sitter has a husband, 11 year old son, and two small dogs. Kona has done well with all of them, but we are not sure how she would do with other pets and children. The dog sitter is only able to keep Kona until the end of June. We love Kona very much and would like to find her a good home with someone who is loving, patient, and able to accommodate her special needs.

Story
Lady Lucy – Sweet Survivor  Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart the moment you meet them, and Lady Lucy is certainly one of those dogs. Though her past appears to have been filled with uncertainty, she has emerged from it with a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and an unwavering belief that good things are still ahead. Lady Lucy was one of nine dogs discovered living in a remote wooded area of Middle Tennessee after they were apparently abandoned when their owner fell on difficult times. No one knows exactly how long they survived on their own, but their situation touched the hearts of many rescue volunteers who came together to help. With patience, food, water, and kindness, the dogs were gradually brought to safety. Rescue groups across the region stepped forward to help, and Critter Cavalry Rescue was fortunate enough to welcome Lady Lucy into its care. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Lucy had once known the comforts of a home. She settled in beautifully and quickly showed everyone what a wonderful companion she is. At just over a year old and weighing 32 pounds, Lucy is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller dog with a big heart. She appears to be a delightful mix of Corgi and Beagle, though her most remarkable feature is her personality. She is affectionate, gentle, and full of love, with the easygoing nature often found in hound breeds. Whether she's relaxing beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, Lucy simply wants to be close to her people. She is fully grown, crate trained, housebroken, and has excellent manners in the home. Lucy currently lives successfully with other dogs and does very well in an active household with teenagers, but she has made it clear that she would not mind having a little less competition for attention. After all she has been through, we think she would happily embrace a life where she can enjoy a bit more of the spotlight and receive the princess treatment she believes is rightfully hers. Lady Lucy has a way of looking into your eyes that makes you feel like you've known each other forever. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds, offers unwavering companionship, and fills a home with warmth and comfort. Her difficult past has not diminished her capacity to love; if anything, it seems to have made her even more appreciative of every kindness she receives. Now all that remains is for the right family to find her. Lady Lucy is packed and ready for her next adventure, with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. She is ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin the life she has always deserved with a family who will cherish her as the special girl she truly is. To learn more about Lady Lucy or to request an adoption application, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 14, 2026, 1:03 pm

Meet Kipper! She is a 8 month old corgi mix. She weighs about 33lbs. She is great with everyone!! She has some energy, so she will love outside play or walks around the neighborhood. It would be a bonus for her to have another playful dog, but would also be happy with just her humans. She is completely vetted and ready to find her forever home! Story
🐾 Meet Huey! 🐾 Huey is a sweet, smart, playful 4-year-old dog (turning 5 in September) who weighs about 15 pounds. He loves attention, affection, and playtime, and would thrive in a home with another small dog or a cat to be his buddy. Huey does well with older children. Younger children can sometimes overwhelm him with grabbing and lots of touching, so he needs time and patience to warm up to them. He is active, silly, and full of personality. I’d love to find him a home with outdoor space where he can run and play every day. This is a very difficult decision because I love Huey dearly, but I can no longer give him the time and energy he deserves. I’m hoping to find him a loving home where he can get plenty of attention, companionship, and exercise. Please message me if you’re interested and think Huey might be a good fit for your family.

Story
Meet our sweet Mama Tinsley! Tinsley came to us on December 7th, VERY pregnant, cold, scared and with no hope of ever having someone to love her, again. Tinsley had been living outside, no shelter, little food and had had litter after litter. Discarded now. One of our rescue partners sent her to us and we couldn't say "no". She needed us as much as we needed to help her, but the funny thing is, we fell so in love with her. She is the sweetest girl! On December 13th, she had to have an emergency c-section and delivered 5 healthy puppies and was spayed at the same time. She is a great mama, but she is done with having puppies and she is ready to move on to a new family! Tinsley is very attached to her foster mom. Her foster mom is the only thing that Tinsley has ever known as having a safe place. For Christmas, she traveled with her foster family to their Christmas festivities in another state. She is absolutely no trouble at all. She wants to only be close to you and be loved. Her foster takes her wherever she goes. The girl has been around the US! She has loved every moment of it! Tinsley is about 8-10 years old. She will be around 25#, once her milk dries up. She is up to date on her vaccines, heartworm negative and now on monthly prevention. She is spayed and chipped. She will pee on a pee pad inside but not if you are watching her. She will also go outside and potty. If you would like to give this sweetheart the forever home that she deserves, please go to our website and complete an adoption application. Her new family must be home a lot or be able to take her with them. She is great with other dogs, but they aren't a requirement. She would love a retired family who she can be with a lot. We only want the best for our sweet girl! She deserves the world! Tinsley's adoption fee is $250. This only partially covers what we have spent on her and her puppies to date. We have spent almost $8000 with her vet care since she came to us. Her emergency c-section was $3500. She is worth it! Adoption application can be found here: https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html
