Story
Birdie is highly intelligent, and pays attention to everything that goes on around her. She loves sniff walks, and playing inside and outside. She has a range of vocalizations, and communicates in many adorable ways. After she's had her fun, she's a big snuggler. She'll come up and softly put her paw on your foot to say hi. She knows basic commands and more, and she is gentle around food. As a Corgi, Birdie barks to let you know what she sees and hears. We've found ways to help her bark less, but it's still an issue at times. Birdie was well-socialized as a puppy, and as a small dog she learned to assert herself. One day she realized she could assert herself any time, and she had several negative encounters with other dogs. She has never hurt another dog, and we are continuing to work with a trainer to help her get away from that reactive behavior.
