Story
Sisi (pronounced Cece) Is a very special girl. She is extremely loyal and sweet she loves to cuddle and play. Unfortunately she is a bit reactive. She will bite anyone indiscriminately and there is no trigger from what I can tell. Just general anxiety and territorial issues. I got her from a friend who was ready to put her down due to these issues and while I’m glad to have saved her I don’t live a life style tailored to a dog. 8hr work days 1 bed room apartment on the 3rd floor etc. She is such a sweet loving baby after she is comfortable and has made a lot of progress with her aggression. She’s also part blue heeler I didn’t see that on the option for dog breeds but she was born to run and play and chase. Unfortunately I can’t provide that for her. I want her to go to a home that has room for her to do all these things that are built into her dna. She also needs someone experienced in behavioral issues and is patient with her while she learns not everyone is out to get her.

Story
Absolutely gutted to make this pupdate. Our sweetest boy Rex has been returned to rescue after 4 months 😭😭😭 He is SUCH a sweet and easy going boy. He slipped on the stairs and there was concern he might be injured as it got icy out so he was brought back to us. Truth be told, his walking has improved even since we saw him last so that's exciting to know he is still making positive strides! He will probably always have some swagger and sway in his rear legs, but to go from paralyzed in a wheelchair to not needing a chair at all is HUGE!! Rex loves children, naps, cats, other dogs, and naps. Oh, and naps. He also loves soft blankets. He's just so perfect. We adore him and can't wait for him to really find his forever. Intake Date: 11 February 2025 ----- Adopted 27 June 2025 ------ Returned to Rescue 19 Oct 2025 ----- Age at Intake: 5 yrs ----- Breed: corgi/beagle Mix----- Size: 30 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats, children----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard. Possible apartment with ground level access ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: reduced function of hind legs. Sometimes needs his wheelchair if long walks ----- Additional Notes: Meet Rex! This handsome little low rider has the best personality!! Just a happy guy! Rex was adopted from a shelter several years ago with rear leg paralysis. With time and care, he has gained the use of his back legs and can walk unassisted! If he gets tired though, he does start to drag so he has his wheelchair as backup if needed. He is a sweetheart and a special needs pup isnt something to be afraid of. I have always had the best relationship with the special ones! They have this love of life that cant be ignored. Rex was adopted in North Dakota and his family grew by several animals and children. He also moved to Florida! Unfortunately, a family situation meant that he wasn't getting the care needed and he came to FBS alongside his two fur siblings that were adopted from us (Berlin and Puppy). We just couldn't leave him behind. He is a perfect little dude. And so handsome. He would rock a bowtie! He loves everyone he meets and is a favorite of all. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is prioritized if a yard is present. Temperament cannot be and is not guaranteed.
