Story
Intake Date: 16 February 2026 ----- Age at Intake: 9 months ----- Breed: Corgi ----- Size: 18 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: Dogs, cats, children. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none noted ----- Additional Notes: Meet Geordie 👑🐾
Approximately 9 months old and just 18 pounds, Geordie is a little Corgi with a BIG personality. He’s active, boisterous, playful, and so ready to live the life he was always meant to have.
Geordie came from a troubling start. It appears he spent much of his young life confined to a small crate, often left to sit in his own urine. A caring family member noticed his severely matted condition and living situation and stepped in. The owner surrendered him to them, and they brought him to For Belle’s Sake Rescue, where his fresh start began.
We knew he needed a true “rags to riches” name. It came down to Leopold or Geordie (like the Queen’s dog 👑)… and he proudly responded to Geordie.
Since then, he’s had many baths, all of his painful mats removed, and is now up to date on vaccines. He is scheduled for neuter on March 20th.
Because of his upbringing, Geordie is understandably clingy with his humans and eager for attention. He also has a LOT of playful energy to burn! We are seeking a home with:
• Another playful dog
• A fully fenced, secure yard
• A family committed to giving him the active, engaged life he deserves
Geordie is making up for lost time. He wants to run, play, love, and finally feel safe knowing he’ll never be shut away again.
From crate to crown — this little royal is ready for his forever kingdom. 👑🏡💕

If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is preferred.
