6-Month-Old Pembroke Welsh Corgi Puppy
Queso is a 6-month-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s incredibly soft, cuddly, and loves being close to his people. Most of the time, he’s a sweet and affectionate puppy who just wants love and guidance.
Like many puppies his age, Queso is currently in his teenage stage and can be a bit nippy while he’s still learning boundaries. He also has severe food resource guarding, so he will need a committed adopter who is willing to work with a professional trainer and provide consistent structure to help him succeed.
Important placement needs:
• Should not be in a home with young children
• Not compatible with cats
• Nervous around other dogs — any introductions must be slow and carefully managed
• If placed with another dog, that dog should be calm, patient, and well-mannered

Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months. We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!

Queso est un Pembroke Welsh Corgi de 6 mois avec une grande personnalité et un cœur encore plus grand. Il est extrêmement doux, affectueux et adore être près de ses humains. La plupart du temps, c’est un chiot gentil et aimant qui a simplement besoin d’encadrement et de repères.
Comme beaucoup de chiots de son âge, Queso traverse présentement sa phase d’adolescence et peut parfois être un peu mordilleur pendant qu’il apprend les bonnes manières. Il présente aussi une protection alimentaire sévère, ce qui signifie qu’il aura besoin d’une famille engagée, prête à travailler avec un entraîneur professionnel et à lui offrir une structure constante pour l’aider à progresser.
Besoins importants pour son placement :
• Ne doit pas vivre avec de jeunes enfants
• Non compatible avec les chats
• Nerveux avec les autres chiens — les présentations devront être lentes et bien encadrées
• S’il vit avec un autre chien, celui-ci devra être calme, patient et bien équilibré

Parfois un chien met un peu plus de temps à s'ouvrir, vous le verrez peut-être montrer de plus en plus sa personnalité au cours des premiers jours, semaines voire mois. Nous ne savons pas tout ce qu’ils ont vécu avant d’être secourus, mais ils sont tellement indulgents et pleins d’amour et chaque moment difficile en vaut finalement la peine. Développer une relation de confiance avec votre chien de sauvetage est la chose la plus importante. La stabilité, la patience, le renforcement positif et l’amour sont les choses les plus importantes
