(Rescue rules apply, so breed and birthday are our best guess.) Georgie is thoughtful when you first meet him and obviously because he is so cute, he attracts a lot of attention and love. The best part is that he is great on leash and checks in often with his person. Insider tip- he loves belly rubs and booty scratches and will work for a treat.. He is very food motivated which always makes training that much more fun! With other dogs, Georgie is social, polite, and confident. He met multiple new dogs and wandered the yard comfortably with them. He is fostered in a home with other dogs and his foster confirmed, he is easy company. When he met a smaller dog, a chihuahua type, he really lit up, was perfectly gentle and we could see his playful side. Unfortunately she isn’t the type to play so his offers went unreturned but it was still very cute to see. A medium-energy dog companion would suit him well but no kitties for Georgie- something in his DNA told him chase and for obvious reasons- cats hate that. Georgie would thrive in a home with a yard or even a townhome setup where he has space to move and explore. Once settled, he does have a bit of energy and would absolutely enjoy hikes and outdoor adventures with his people. He would do best with someone familiar with corgi traits, as he carries that classic thoughtful, loyal, slightly independent streak. Simba is about 3 years old and was an owner surrender along with his mom and sister (both adopted). His mom looked just like full corgi, dad unknown. His sister was heavier than he is and also looked more corgi. Simba has a corgi like face but a shorter, thinner torso and longer legs. He is a small boy at right around 20 lbs. He is great with all dogs, people and cats. He does well in a crate and likes to cuddle. He is not a runner and always stays near the house eventhough he has 40 acres to roam around on. He is the perfect small dog. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. SCOUTIS LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME ! Scout will be 2, 11/1/25. Neutered & chipped. He was kept in a crate the first 14 months of his life. Only taking out to go potty mainly. The sweetest, lovable ball of ENERGY! He's fine with my cats, but I'd watch him with them. His prey drive is very HIGH! Will chase birds ALL day long if you let him. Does not do well with livestock. But I'm no dog trainer. Absolutely LOVES the water!!! I think he'd be GREAT doing dock diving and agility 🥰😢😭 So good in the house! Is a love bug. No potty accidents. I put him in his crate once in awhile just because? He's never bite. Grew up with an 8 year old girl. But he has no manners! Will jump on new people or my boys ( they are grown). She is bouncy, excited, and eager to play with dog friends from the moment she meets them. Medium to small social dogs are absolutely her wheelhouse. She respected aloof dogs who wanted space, but with more submissive pups she can slide into “tiny boss lady” mode and start herding but can still shift back into play easily. And yes… she is very much a herding girly. If there is a puppy to organize, she will organize it. If there is chaos to manage, she will manage it. If there is a dog smaller and softer than her… she may attempt to run the meeting. We won’t knock that confidence! Lyra is both house and crate trained and has shared space around food calmly with another dog and showed zero need to guard. Apartment sized? Absolutely. Apartment quiet? That may depend. She does have a voice and she is not shy about using it. We saw hints of it but her foster shared that she has been known to howl on occasion. We cannot know what it sounds like when the house is empty but we suspect she has a full symphony ready if left bored or under-stimulated. Mental enrichment, playtime, and clear routines will be her best friend. Cats? She was respectfully cautious with our house cat and showed playful curiosity. We can set her up for a sleepover with out Kitty Committee, but our instincts say with proper introductions and structure, she could absolutely learn that cats are roommates, not playmates..
