Sissy is the kind of dog who’s happiest curled up next to you at the end of the day. She’s calm, affectionate, and just wants to be close without being overwhelming. Sissy is a young corgi/JRT mix with a unique look—long and low, but not heavy. She’s the perfect size for couch cuddles and everyday life. She’s very loving and enjoys being with her person, whether that’s relaxing at home or just hanging out nearby. When she first arrived, she was scared of other dogs and reacted out of fear. Once she realized she was safe, she completely relaxed and now does well around them. That tells you a lot about her—she’s sensitive, aware, and able to adjust when she feels secure. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, affectionate companion who enjoys closeness and will settle into a steady, comfortable routine. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. We came across "Bootsie" and her sister Luna on a business contract in Condon Oregon. After loosing our Bear last year of 12 years we thought it would be nice to have a another canine companion, one we could take with us on the road. Low and behold we ran into these adorable girls, and considering their breed we thought that they would become great travel partners. It has turned out to be quite a bit more then we thought. We were unaware of the difficulties of having litter mates and forgot how intense and time consuming training could be. We love them and don't regret saving them but if there is a better place they could be, they deserve it. Boots is super smart, kind of the ring leader, likes to shred her toys and I think she does it just so that no one else can have them. She barks a little more then we hoped and in my opinion plays rough. We think she is bi-polar, because she is so sweet the rest of the time she isn't causing havoc. She sits, lays down and catches. This sucks ☹
