Story
ZEEK & BELLA are Corgi/Jack Russell mixes – unrelated by blood but they've lived in the same household since puppy hood. Bella more resembles a small corgi and Zeek, a rough coated JRT. They are both active and love their walks! Bella is missing a hind paw due to overzealous cleaning from her mom as a newborn. It doesn't bother her although we are careful to not walk her on concrete and if she goes on longer hikes, a padded sock or boot will protect her stump while walking. It is important that she stays thin and fit. Zeek is a typical terrier – he loves his sister but he's not good with other dogs, especially male dogs. They both love people but will bark if somebody comes to the door. We would love to keep them together if possible. Zeek came to us neutered and Bella is scheduled for a spay on October 15th and they will both be available about a week after to allow for her recovery. Both are vaccinated, tested for heartworms and tick borne disease diseases and microchipped. Adoption $500 for the dynamic duo or $300 each if adopted separately. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you're interested in adding Zeek and Bella to your family! Story
We prefer to adopt within a 1 hour drive time from Claymont, DE19703. May go a little further for a perfect match. Poppy’s original momma surrendered her because Poppy wasn't fond of the children that came along after her. But, Poppy was a super good girl and gave warning signs and thought it was best to rehome Poppy so that Poppy could be in a stress free home. Poppy is a very good girl, and an easy girl to care for. The most ideal home for Poppy could be a single person to a large family, no kids under 13 years old. Younger would be okay too, but we are aiming more to an adult home just to be extra careful, and as an only pet. Miss Poppy is an alfa girl that really doesn't like to share her ball or her foster mom, but has occasionally enjoyed a game of chase with certain dogs. Her previous mom said she does better with larger dogs, and foster mom would add “and one she can boss around”. Poppy is 4 1/2 years old and aims to please, always checking in with eye contact while walking, is house broken and crate trained. She may chew something if the opportunity is there, so we suggest continuing to crate her when left alone. She has been groomed to short fur, but her coat is very thick and corgis shed a lot, so she will need to be brushed daily, which she deals with. She sleeps in her crate at night, and enjoys when it is her turn in the bed with foster mom. She rides well in the car and of course lovvvvves long walks, she is a little strong on the leash. Miss Poppy is spayed, UTD on rabies and distemper vaccine, heartworm and lyme test negative and on monthly preventative snd is microchipped. If you would like an application please email us at AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com We do ask for a vet reference. If this is your 1st pet we would accept a vet reference of a family member.

Story
Oreo is a sweet dog when left home and left alone. Oreo is very lazy and likes to lounge on his couch chewing on blankets. I have spent money on trainings as I have a home with small kids and we like to travel. Boarding him is difficult as he gets anxiety. He needs a calm home that allows him to chill and hang out on his cough lounging. Oreo does present food aggression with table food. I want him to be with someone that can spend more time with him and let him relax and run!

Location: New Jersey - meet and greet in South Jersey is requiredSquirrel Pembroke Welsh CorgiAbout 40 lbs- needs help continuing his weight loss routine!Good with dogs?: Yes, 40lbs and underGood with cats?: Unsure, but he does have a prey drive.Good with kids?: Dog savvy kids welcome!Crate trained: YesHouse trained: Yes, will sometimes mark but working on it!Leash trained: YesMeet SQUIRREL! Squirrel was surrendered by his owner through no fault of his own, he was being bullied by the resident Golden Retriever and the owner made the tough decision to rehome Squirrel. Due to his past, we would recommend that Squirrel either be the only dog, or be in the company of other small to medium sized pups. That being said slow introductions would also be a must as he can be shy/fearful due to his experience. Meet and greet with resident dogs is a must. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to have a second shadow, you’ll soon find out! In typical corgi fashion Squirrel lives for his people and wants to supervise basically everything. His ideal situation would be either a family (dog savvy kids welcome!) or couple that can give him short brisk walks to maintain his figure, and then give him copious amounts of cuddles on the couch - his favorite place. Most of all he would love a family who is patient and kind with him as he adjusts to your routine. Squirrel’s quirks are that he occasionally might do a little dribble in the house to mark his territory. He also can be a picky eater and it took a couple days for him to finish his meals at his foster home. Otherwise, he is a certified good boy with phenomenal manners. Squirrel is waiting patiently for his furever family. ##2605570##
