Story
Bartok is a bossy male who prefers the company of female dogs but can be snippy with them as well. He chases cats, but has never harmed one. He is currently starting issues in the home with our senior fixed male. He is working on his potty training with us, but still needs some work. He is a love bug to humans but with our work schedules and his recent issues with our male dog, we cannot keep him. He came with a few issues from his last home, he is scared of brooms and HATES to be held by his collar. (Does great on a leash tho!) He loves car rides and being at your side. He can JUMP very high for his small legged self and may knock over a small child so recommend older children only lol he HATES hugs but does great in baths, nail trims and being picked up (tho he is quite heavy lol) He will come with leash, collar and his slow feeder bowl as well as enough dog food to get you by (or to transfer him over to your preferred brand) no known allergies, but he does have an umbilical hernia.

Story
Every day in rescue brings another story that is harder to understand than the last. The number of innocent dogs and cats being abandoned, neglected, and left behind feels endless — yet somehow, they still choose to trust again. Sweet Eddie is one of those dogs.   At just a year old and around 30 pounds, Eddie is the kind of little Beagle mix who instantly steals your heart. With his soft eyes, adorable round body, and gentle expression, he looks like he was made to curl up in someone’s lap and finally feel safe. Beneath that precious face is a boy who has already experienced far too much disappointment in his short life.   Eddie came from a heartbreaking situation of neglect and abandonment alongside eight other dogs. While they were all friendly, you could see the uncertainty and fear they carried with them. But even after everything he has been through, Eddie’s loving nature was impossible to hide. Within just 24 hours in foster care, his personality has already begun to bloom. The worried little dog from intake has been replaced with a smiling, hopeful boy who now welcomes affection from his foster mom and happily enjoys the companionship of the other dogs in the home.   There is something especially special about Eddie. He has a vibrant energy to play and stay with his people and other dog all day.  He is sweet and shy and outgoing all at the same time.  He would be best with a younger dog that wants to be his romping  partner in crime.  He kind of makes people instantly feel connected to him with his eager nature to be your best friend. He does demand attention — he leans into it, soaking up every kind word, every gentle touch, every moment of kindness he may have gone without for far too long.   We can picture Eddie fitting beautifully into so many different kinds of homes. He would make children beam with excitement and pride to call him their own. He would thrive as a loyal companion for a young couple starting out in an apartment or condo. He would also make the perfect walking or hiking partner for an empty-nesting couple looking for a devoted little shadow to share life with. Eddie is wonderfully versatile because what he truly wants is simple: love, security, and someone who will finally choose him forever.   He is fully grown, fully ready, and fully deserving of the kind of commitment he has never known before. Eddie is not looking for perfection — just a family willing to open their heart and help rewrite the rest of his story with love, patience, and belonging.       ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Nacho!! He is a handsome 18 month old Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs 29 pounds abd is a ton of fun. This boy has personality A+ and a heart full of affection. He's a smart young dog who is learning quickly and making great progress with his house training.    Nacho loves spending time with people, especially kids, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He's an active, happy companion who would have thrive with a family that can continue his training and give him  plenty of love and attention.   One thing to know about Nacho is that he's not a fan of cats, so he'll do best in a cat free home.  A fenced yard would be perfection but if with an active energized walking person or family, he could do that lifestyle too!   Please email critter cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Shelly is a sweet little princess with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. She has the cutest prance as she trots around the yard, making every step look graceful. While she has a delicate side, she also loves to play with her brother and enjoys romping around with the smaller puppies. Shelly's favorite toys are soft, fluffy stuffies, and when playtime is over, she's happiest curled up for a cozy snuggle. She's doing wonderfully with her routine—she sleeps through the night and happily eats her meals in her crate. She's also making great progress with her potty training every single day. She's no longer using puppy pads and is learning to potty outside, but she's still a puppy and continues to work on building consistency. If you're looking for a loving companion who is equal parts playful, cuddly, and charming, Shelly is ready to steal your heart.   Medical Notes: Spayed  Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Maintained on monthly preventatives       APPLY HERE Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 29, 2026, 9:23 am
