Story
Got pet from a soldier who got PCS orders, but quickly realized she needs attention and care that I cant give her at this time. She is super energetic and loves to play, super curious, and will cuddle. I was told she is about a year old. She definitely has some trauma and so my wish for her is to have an owner who can really work with her and give her the time and training that she needs. She is a very loving dog though.

Story
Some dogs arrive in rescue angry at the world. Others arrive completely shut down. And then there are dogs like Eddie — little souls who have every reason not to trust people anymore, yet still look at you with hopeful eyes and quietly ask for love. Eddie is an absolutely adorable one-year-old Beagle mix weighing about 30 pounds, and everything about him is endearing. From his compact little body to his soulful face and soft expression, he is impossible not to fall in love with. He has the kind of face that makes you want to scoop him up, sit down, and promise him that life is finally going to be better. cSadly, Eddie’s beginning was anything but easy. He was rescued from a neglect and abandonment situation along with eight other dogs. They had clearly been surviving rather than truly living. Although friendly, they were frightened and unsure of the world around them. It is heartbreaking to imagine how long Eddie went without the stability, affection, and care every dog deserves. But despite everything, this sweet boy’s spirit is shining through almost immediately. Within a single day in foster care, Eddie has already started relaxing and showing his true personality. His foster mom says he is soaking up affection and beginning to understand that kindness is real. He has welcomed the companionship of the other dogs in the home and has quickly traded fear for hopeful little smiles and a wagging tail. Eddie is not an overwhelming or demanding dog. He is the kind of companion who simply wants to be near his people. He is quiet, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly easy to love. Whether he is curling up beside you after a long day or trotting happily along on a walk, Eddie seems grateful for every small moment of comfort and attention. We truly believe Eddie could fit beautifully into many different homes and lifestyles. He would make a wonderful family dog for children wanting a loyal best friend. He would thrive with a young couple looking for a devoted companion in an apartment or condo. He could also be the perfect addition to an empty-nester home where he could enjoy walks, adventures, and peaceful evenings filled with love and companionship. What Eddie wants most is what he has likely never had — consistency, safety, and someone who will never leave him behind again. He is fully grown, fully ready for a forever home, and fully deserving of a life filled with kindness and commitment. Somewhere out there is the family meant for Eddie, and when they find him, they are going to wonder how they ever lived without him. To give Eddie the loving future he deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.May 26, 2026, 7:30 pm

Story
Introducing you to Sunny! Attention all Jack Russell lovers! Sunny Remington is a Jack Russell mix weighing in at 35-40 lbs. She is up to date on all vaccinations. She has typical Jack Russell characteristics: full of energy, prey-driven, loves jobs, loves companionship with her person. She will protect you, play fetch with you (hours upon hours) and love you (snuggles under blanket beside you). She would do best in a home with no small children and no other animals (she is the queen). Sunny is house trained and crate trained. Her best trick is bouncing the ball herself and catching in her mouth. Serious inquiries please.  Sunny is a 5 month old JRT mix! She is currently in a foster home through our MS team, has received two rounds of vaccinations/dewormer/prevention, and is thriving! Sunny was rescued off of the side of the road by the garbage truck crew. An owner reached out to claim her, but never came to get her. She was terrified at the shelter, but thankfully a foster stepped up to temporarily house her! She’s dog friendly, and loves to play!! We would love for Sunny to be able to hitch a ride on our transport to RR this coming up Saturday, but would need a foster and/or potential adopter to do so! Please reach out to the Russell Reacue Team if you’re able to help Sunny! This is Sunny!  Sunny is a 5 month old JRT mix and weighs 15lbs. She’s dog/cat/kid friendly, kennel trained and has been doing well on potty training. She’d do well with an active family — she loves to go on walks!  ‍ She’s received two rounds of vaccines/dewormer/heartgard/nexgard, and is hw negative.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
Dobby is beautiful with deep brown eyes and soft yellow fur- we don't know his mix - he could have a little lab, golden, he's a smaller longer bodied dog. He takes a minute to warm up to other dogs, but then he is very playful. Dobby is energetic and is getting the hang of housetraining. In a quiet and consistent and quiet household, he should do well. Dobby can jump and climb fencing, so he will need a family who will regularly walk him and not leave him on his own outside (even in a fenced yard). To adopt one of our animals, the first step is filling out OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://tapsusa.org/why-adopt/application/ (Please copy and paste the link into your browser.) Please make sure you get a confirmation that your application has been submitted. If you are a match for one of our pets, we will reach out to you to schedule a meet and greet. All meet and greets are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY The Animal Protectorates c/o Friendsville Animal Center 706 Kiser Station Road Friendsville, TN 37737 All animals are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before they go to new homes because that's the responsible way to keep them all safe. We only adopt to local homes in the immediate vicinity because we utilize our volunteer force to process home visits. Photos of your home, letters of reference are not acceptable which is why we only adopt locally. Only in very rare circumstances do we adopt out of area. Examples of this would be finding the perfect home for a senior animal or one that has other special needs that we have not been able to place locally for an extended period of time. Thank you for wanting to adopt.
