Story
Meet Denton, the sweetest little old man with a heart full of love and a story that will melt yours. Left behind at a boarding facility, Denton was sadly abandoned at 10 years old, but his spirit remains gentle and kind. We think he’s part Corgi, and although his cloudy eyes make him bump into things now and then, his love for life is still bright!  Denton is well-behaved, quiet, and loves nothing more than to snuggle with his humans. He’s working on house training and is making great progress with regular breaks. This senior sweetheart doesn’t ask for much—just a peaceful home, a cozy bed, and a kind hand to guide him through his golden years. Denton does great on gentle walks and enjoys the fresh air, which is perfect for keeping his joints moving. He’s calm around other dogs, could care less about cats, and is simply happy to be by your side. Denton is looking for a home to fill with warmth and unconditional love. If you'd like to give this sweet soul the love and care he deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast weekly. For more info and FAQs, visit crittercavalry.com   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.October 5, 2024, 11:55 am

Story
Nugget is a 22 pound solid ball of love and play!He comes from an abusive family who smacked the dog while surrendering him to the shelter. He takes a moment to build trust-kindness and love has already begun the healing for his heart here in foster care. Because he was hit he is guarded when you come at him from above with your hand-he needs a gentle and slowly loving approach and he is ready to play and play some more! His favorite game is fetch the ball and return. He LOVES toys and loved to “destuff” them!He does not like to be approached in the kennel by children-he will become frantic. I suspect he was tormented there. He does not like the kennel but we have been working on getting him comfortably secure there for nighttime rest. He is a great eater and not fussy. Nugget loves belly rubs and will turn over on his back for love all the time! He just wants to play and be loved. He would do best in a home with adults and older teenage children.Nugget was professionally behaviorally assessed and passed with flying colors!Russellrescuetn@gmail.com Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
