Story
Reggie, an almost 2-year-old handsome Corgi, was surrendered to DHS due to no fault of his own. This little guy is smart as a whip and loves to learn. He is house and kennel trained. Reggie has been raised on a farm, with horses, cats, and other dogs. Reggie does like slow meet and greets with new dogs, but gets along well after that. He, like most herding pups like to chase kitties, but he has never harmed them. He has been raised with grandkids, and does well besides normal puppy play behavior. Reggie is a good traveler in the car, and enjoys going on adventures. He can be slow to warm up to new people, but it doesn't take him long at all to become your best buddy.

🐶 Meet Edgar! Edgar is a 6.5-month-old neutered male Corgi/Terrier mix weighing in at just 12 pounds—small in size but big in personality! This happy, playful boy loves toys, romping around with other dogs, and anything that involves food (seriously… very food motivated). Edgar walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world. He’s currently working on potty training and kennel training and is making steady progress with routine and consistency. Because Edgar is a rescue from Texas and likely experienced food insecurity early in life, he does resource guard his food bowl. For this reason, if there are other dogs in the home, it’s recommended that Edgar be fed in his kennel or designated safe space so he can eat comfortably and avoid any food-related tension. With structure and understanding, he does very well. Edgar would do best in a home with older kids or no children, where his food boundaries can be respected. He thrives with patient adopters who understand that his guarding behavior comes from survival, not aggression—and who are willing to continue working with him as he learns that food will always be there.
