Story
Marcy is the type of dog that makes people smile almost immediately. She has a goofy, happy personality, loves being involved in whatever you are doing, and absolutely lives for water. If there is a pond, creek, kiddie pool, or muddy shoreline nearby, Marcy will find it. Marcy is a stocky, short-legged mixed breed girl around 45 pounds full grown with a personality that balances confidence and sensitivity in a really unique way. She loves adventures, swimming, exploring, and outdoor activities, but she is not a nonstop high-energy dog. She can absolutely keep up on hikes, walks, or active days, then happily relax afterward. She is great with other dogs and cats. With dogs, she does best around friendly, respectful personalities. She can get intimidated if another dog is overly pushy or tries to dominate her, but outside of that she is social, playful, and very happy around other animals. With new people, Marcy can sometimes give a little low growl at first. It is not aggression and she has never shown aggressive behavior. It is simply her way of saying she needs a moment to process and get comfortable. Once she settles in, her affectionate and goofy personality comes out quickly. She is basically an extroverted introvert. Marcy would be a great fit for someone looking for a dog that enjoys adventures and outdoor time but does not need constant stimulation to stay happy. She especially needs a family that understands that not every friendly dog is instantly social with strangers, and that giving a dog a few minutes to warm up is completely okay. Good fit: someone looking for a fun, outdoorsy companion that enjoys water, adventures, and relaxing equally. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Meet the dashing Dodger! This wonderful young adult mixed breed is bursting with energy and playfulness. Dodger is great on a leash but has a knack for being an escape artist. His ideal home would be with someone who leads an active lifestyle and has plenty of space for him to burn off his energy. He is dog selective and due to his deep prey drive for catching rodents, or rabbits, he has to be an only pet. He may do well in a home where he is the smallest dog, and proper introduction. But, if he gets off his leash or out of his fenced yard, he absolutely will follow his nose to find a rabbit or squirrel, and you will never catch him again. He is a lover, and a great little dog but he has hunting fever and there is no stopping him. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, has completed blood work, and has been vet-checked. If you’re ready to meet the charming Dodger, submit your application ASAP! Good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Two years old, and still is pretty much a puppy. He needs someone who can help him with his anxiety and excitement reactivity. He has really bad separation anxiety and needs someone who can preferably be there with him while that gets worked out. He’s really sweet and loves people but is skeptical about dogs. I would be careful bringing him around other dogs especially bigger dogs as he’s a little more fearful of them, but generally likes hanging out with smaller dogs. I would also be careful with small kids. Even though he loves them, he’s been known to jump, and might get too excited. He is crate trained, but with his separation anxiety he can’t be left in the crate all alone in the house. Overall Reggie needs someone who has a good amount of time for him as well as experience in how to handle a herding breed/corgi. We wish we could keep him, but with moving, as well as our change in finances, this is our last resort. Please help us find a good home for Reggie.
