Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee: $125.00   Crouton is about 13 years old and weigh 17 pounds, he is a very sweet and loving fella, he is almost totally deaf, but he can hear and respond to very loud noises.  Crouton has a lot of health issues, so he will need a home that is willing to see him through any flareups and be okay with the cost.  He is partially housetrained, and may need to wear belly bands (male diapers), he tolerates them well, they need to be changed many times a day.  A person can choose to not use them if they want, but he will lift his leg and mark.  A supply of the belly bands and pads will be provided at the time of adoption, that will be enough to last a week or more.   He enjoys to go outside, so his ideal home would be to have a nice and safe fenced yard for him to enjoy.  He was diagnosed with an intestinal disease, but he is doing great now, and the flareup seems to have passed.  He also has had ear infections, so his doctor recommends a maintenance medicine to help this, a couple of drops every few days.  He does not care for that very much, but he will let let the drops be put in both ears.   He is also prone to skin infections, so it would be crucial to make sure he is dry if a person chooses to use belly bands.   He has cysts on his shoulder and just below his ear, his doctors feel confidant they are benign, and because of his age and health, and that there are so many, we are not having them removed.   He recently had a dental, poor guy lost 15 teeth, he is healing nicely from that, we also did have one growth removed, it was an odd skin growth that was hanging about 4 inches down from his chest.  We opted to removed that one, because of it's location and that it could possibly get caught on something and possibly hurt him.   Crouton does have a bit of separation anxiety, and will get into thing, like trashcans, and will try to chew shoes, cardboard...he is not choosy!   Crouton is waiting for his forever home in Gainesville, FL.   Adoption fee: $125.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.  To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.  NOTE: SCMR does not adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. Story
It breaks my heart to write this, but I am looking for a compassionate new home for my two beloved senior dogs. They have been together since they were just six months old and are now 14½ and 15 years old. They are deeply bonded, gentle, affectionate, and have brought so much love into my life. My greatest hope is that they can remain together for the rest of their lives. Both dogs have age-related medical conditions that are currently being successfully treated. One has diabetes and cataracts and receives regular insulin treatment, which has kept the diabetes well managed. The other was recently diagnosed with low thyroid levels and is doing well on medication. They are calm, sweet-natured companions who would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home where they can enjoy their golden years surrounded by kindness, patience, and love. I am no longer able to continue providing the level of care they deserve because my income is no longer able  to meet their ongoing healthcare needs.

Story
Kayla is Lhasa Apso with a charming white coat. She's 10 years young and weighs 12 lbs. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Kayla's favorite things include: - Snuggling, cozy beds, and blankets - Gentle voices and reassurance - Following her humans everywhere - Existing as the world’s fanciest baby - Her doggie siblings (big and small) Kayla is mostly blind, but don’t tell her that! She's a smart girl who learns her environment and once she's familiar, she's able to safely get around her home. She's doing wonderfully with house and potty training. Kayla is the definition of sweet and mild-tempered, she's a quiet little soul who wants to feel safe and loved. She'd do best with humans who are home often and understand vision limitations. She'd enjoy gentle doggie siblings, especially if you're out of the house often. She needs a yard and a fenced yard is recommended as she's unfamiliar with harnesses and leashes. She's ready to be your devoted, tenderhearted companion. Check out Kayla's full profile and submit an adoption application on our site: https://www.fawnssmalldogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/kayla All of our dogs are fostered in or around Jacksonville, FL. We adopt within a 150 mile radius of Jacksonville, which includes parts of Georgia.

Story
Rambo is an amazing dog and it saddens me that I have to give him up. I’ve had Rambo for 8 years and I got him from my aunt when he was about 3. Rambo is very house trained and love kids. But he’s getting older and needs more attention than I can give him because I am a new mother with a newborn. He’s loving, the absolute sweetest boy, loyal. He loves baths, long walks and playing with his toys. Looking for a family or someone that’s more of a home body to adopt him Rambo does have a few little quirks. He has weather anxiety so he gets the shakes when it rains. He also has travel anxiety and will cry in the car. Lastly he has to go on walks to poop so you can’t just let him out the door in a yard. Rambo is great with other dogs but he was attacked by 2 pit bulls years ago and sometimes gets anxious. All in all Rambo is a really great dog and any home would be happy to have him
