Hello. I’m Valentino. 🖤🐾
I’m a 10-year-old Lhasa mix with a big personality in a small, fluffy body. I’ll be honest — when I first arrived from a neglect situation, I wasn’t exactly winning any popularity contests. I responded to the world with a bit of… spice. But give me a few days (okay, maybe a couple weeks), and once I decide you’re safe? I become your shadow.
I’m a Velcro dog through and through. I follow my person everywhere. I love rolling around in my bed, supervising the house, and being exactly where you are at all times. If you let me, I’d happily claim your furniture — and your bed. (You’ve been warned.)
I’m leash trained and perfectly house trained. I get along with big and small dogs and am starting to enjoy playing with them. I do still have some separation anxiety, so I’d prefer someone who is home a lot. I waited a long time for someone to care for me properly — now I really value my person.
Let’s talk personality: I’m confident. I can be dominant. I have a little “cranky old man” flair when I don’t feel like doing something. If I object, I may grumble about it — but I’m not truly aggressive. I just like to voice my opinion. With calm, confident handling and consistency, I’m easy to correct. In fact, I respond well when you simply follow through and show me the plan.
Because of my personality and past, I would do best in:
🏡 A fenced yard (I love being outside!)
🐶 Possibly a dog sibling
🚫 No kids
👩❤️👨 A small, calm household (1–3 people)
I also have dry eye, which requires lifelong eye drops. It’s very manageable, and I’ve never once fussed about getting my medication. Honestly, I think I’m just grateful to be cared for.
Underneath my confident, slightly bossy exterior is a sweet old boy who just needed someone to trust. Once you earn that trust, I’m loyal, funny, and devoted. I may have a little attitude — but it comes with a whole lot of heart.

Adoption FEE: $350 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.

All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.
Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
