Foster location: Green Bay Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Aspen is a senior dog lover’s dream! This sweet gal found herself at a southern shelter not once, but twice. Aspen had a home but was surrendered in early 2024 due to the other dogs in the home bullying her. She found a home rapidly, but was surrendered again recently due to her adopter experiencing life changes. Our rescue partner felt her best chance at forever was here in Wisconsin, and we are honored to be a part of her story! Aspen is fostered with several other small dogs. She does very well with them all, but definitely prefers the company of other calm canines. She will give a growl if a dog isn’t taking the hint and jumping about in her face, but will happily share a bed with a sleepy pal.  Aspen is believed to be hard of hearing, as she doesn’t always respond to sounds. She is pretty good about pottying outside, but will need help learning the routine of a new home. She came from a warmer climate, and is also still getting used to doing her business on the frozen tundra. She has used a pad indoors. She isn’t a fan of kennels, and when first put in will bark but calms rapidly. This is the only time we’ve heard her bark thus far. She can impressively bypass a baby gate by knocking it down, so don’t expect to keep her contained with the average barrier. Aspen isn’t one for toys, but has adored all people she has met. What she lacks in teef, she makes up for in social skills! Aspen rides well in the car, and enjoys a nice sweater. She walks well on a leash, and has been an absolute rockstar while visiting the nursing home. Anyone would be lucky to hav her company for life! Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.December 13, 2025, 11:36 am
