Story
I bought my doggy from Kathy Kail with the Charwin kennel down in SoCal. This is a reputable and recognized AKC registered breeder. Raven has been loved for the 6 years that we've had her, but she has been a handful. I have had a retriever in the past, and he was the best dog ever. At the time I thought this would be a repeat. Boy I didn't do my homework. Raven was breeded specifically for sport/hunting. I didn't realize that. I was just looking for a dog around the house that would be happy with a back yard. That is not for her. She needs more than what my family and I can provide. Her life has been a shell of what it should be. I did try selling her 1 year in to a farmer from Oregon, who we met with, but Raven bit him. She's bit several other people as well; a male trainer, and a female groomer. They were just nips, but still. She has potential for sure. She's great with kids, and doesn't seem to be aggressive/less aggressive when not around the family; she gets in protect mode.
