Story
My name is Domino, I am a little over 2-year-old female Portuguese Water Dog who weighs about 45-50 pounds.. I came from an Ohio mill where I did not have the best life. I get along with cats and dogs, however I don't necessarily play with them. I do look to other dogs in the house to see how they act and I take cues from them. Because of this, I require another friendly dog in the home that I can continue to learn from. Although I may be a little nervous, I never growl or show any signs of aggression. I thrive on consistency and predictability. I tend to attach myself to one peron in the household and that person becomes my world. I am crate trained, and I eat and sleep in my crate. I am also potty trained. I prefer for my humans to be home a lot, but if you need to leave me you will want to crate me so I don't get into trouble while you are gone. Before I was rescued my life existed of making lots of babies, therefore I was never socialized or around humans. I never saw the outdoors or was walked on a leash. This world is HUGE, amazing and scary at the same time. I walk at a leisurely pace and never pull, while I take in all the sights and sounds of the world around me. I am extremely shy, and I get anxious with loud noises. I would never hurt you, but I need someone with patience and compassion, who understands this big, bright, beautiful world is new to me and it will take time for me to earn your trust and to be a snuggle bug. But when I do, I will be forever loyal and grateful that you took your time and allowed me the opportunity to love you back. Domino requires a ****PHYSICAL FENCE***** and another dog in the residence. Her adoption fee is $550, which is applied towards her spay, vaccines, microchip and costs associated with fostering.
