Story
Happy is a female tan with white mix breed we were told dachshund/beagle but the short ears came from somewhere! She is 1.5 years old and she weighs about 26 pounds. Happy is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. Happy is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventive. Happy is ready for adoption. Happy was surrendered to animal control because her family said she was being picked on by other dogs in the home and she was fearful. Happy does get very nervous about some things, like cars going by, but she has not been fearful nor aggressive with dogs. She is also fine with humans given a little warming up time. Happy’s favorite things are food, food, and treats. We think you can teach her anything with food and consistency. Happy enjoys playtime outside especially if you stay outside with her. She also enjoys leash walks but does better on a path or trail than along a busy street. Happy knows her name. She is crate trained and potty trained. We think Hqppy will thrive with a predictable routine and home life. She is not a girl to love change and adventure. Happy would do best with a fenced back yard or regular quiet leash walks. Adoption fee is $200. Story
🤠🐾 Howdy there! My name is Cowboy! 🐾🤠I’m a handsome tricolored 10-week-old Corgi/Heeler/Chihuahua/Dachshund mix puppy with a big personality, a curious mind, and a whole lot of love to give! I may be little right now, but I have a huge heart and I’m ready to find my forever family. 🥰I’m a sweet and curious pup who loves being with my people as much as possible. I bring all the fun puppy energy and enjoy exploring, discovering new things, and zooming around with my brothers until my little puppy batteries finally run out. Then it’s time for the best part… cuddles! 💕I’m a gentle soul who makes friends with everyone I meet. I do wonderfully with other dogs, and I even like cats! I love people of all ages, from kiddos to the elderly, and I would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a playful, affectionate companion. I’m also already a fantastic little travel buddy! I ride wonderfully in the car and would love to tag along on all of life’s adventures. Whether we’re exploring new places or just running errands together, I’ll happily be right by your side… and if you happen to have a leftover bite of your sandwich, I definitely won’t complain. 😉🥪 Since I’m still a puppy, I have lots of firsts ahead of me. Everything is exciting and new! I still need to learn my basic training, but I’m a very intelligent little guy who is eager to please. I love yummy snacks and am very food motivated, which means training with me should be a fun and rewarding experience! If you’re looking for a playful, loving, adventurous little pup who will keep you laughing, fill your days with puppy kisses, and grow into your loyal best friend, I might just be your perfect match! 🐾📞 I'm still too little to stay at the shelter and am currently in a foster home. You can call 479-394-5682 to find out more about me and coordinate a time to meet me at the shelter. I can’t wait to meet my forever family!****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. She suffered a broken pelvis in 3 different places but never let it slow her down. She is friendly once she gets to know you and loves to play with her toys. She healed after crate rest and pain meds and then was spayed. She will soon be undergoing heart worm treatment then will be available to adopt. She needs a quiet loving home. She would do best as an only dog so she can get all the attention. LOL. doesn't do very well around children. We are almost positive she was abused before she came to us because she shows signs of having been abused when interacting with her. She is slowly learning to trust people again.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2026, 3:29 pm
