Story
Meet Salchi (aka “Mammas”)—a gentle, playful girl looking for her forever home 💛 Found abandoned at a park, she hasn’t let her past dull her sweet spirit. At about 1–1.5 years old, she’s fully grown, loves belly rubs, and thrives on playtime with other dogs. She enjoys walks, running on grass, and chasing anything that flies by. Salchi can be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate and will happily cuddle up close—even snoring beside you at night. She’s potty trained with regular outdoor access and does best in a calm, patient home (she’s sensitive to loud voices). She may bark when meeting new dogs but warms up quickly and becomes a great playmate. She does need chew toys to stay happy. Salchi would thrive in a home full of love, attention, and companionship—human or furry.

Story
For Adoption in Hollister! Meet Slinky — a gorgeous blond boy with the cutest mohawk of long wire terrier like fur running down his back! His one-of-a-kind look is made even more charming by his signature ears: one perked up and the other flopped out to the side. Fitting to his name, Slinky has a long body which might indicate some Dachshund in his lineage. At about 18 pounds and guessing around 2 years old, Slinky is the perfect cuddle companion and lap warmer.  Slinky enjoys the company of both male and female humans. After a slow introduction, he happily makes dog friends and gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages in his foster home. When not snuggled on a lap, Slinky entertains himself with dog toys or playing with his foster dog siblings or napping. He enjoys going for walks and adventures but doesn't seem to require tons of daily exercise. Slinky is crate trained and feels safe in his crate. Slinky is currently being fostered in Hollister and is already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, so he’s ready to find his forever family!  June 14, 2026, 1:27 pm

Story
This pet is part of the rehoming program and is not in the care of the CCSPCA. Please read carefully and reach out to the owner directly via cell: 559-394-7906 or email: michlutley@gmail.com . The owner states, Sophie is about 16 months old. We adopted her from a rescue 5 months ago so we don`t know much about her early puppyhood but she is a healthy and happy little dog.She is sweet, energetic, and playful. She`s a total lap dog, and loves both treats and toys. She`s also quite smart and eager to learn. In just these past few months, she`s been both house and crate trained. She also knows how to sit, stay, come, and go to her crate on command. She gets nervous around strangers and is very protective of her home and family. It takes her a while to get comfortable with new people but once she does, she`s their new best friend.Sophie barks and growls when she`s nervous but has never bitten anyone. She currently lives in a house with 3 cats and does very well with them. We`re looking to rehome her because we recently realized that we`re not really dog people and cannot give her the type of care and attention she needs. Sophie deserves to be with someone that loves her as much as she loves them. ” Due to the pet not being in our care, it is out of our control when and if the owner responds to your inquiry. Thank you.

Story
Nacho is a young adult chi-weenie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Sweet, affectionate, and full of energy, he thrives on love and attention—especially ear and neck scratchies, which are his absolute favorite. He will politely insist you pick him up when he’s ready for cuddles. He walks nicely on a leash and is generally pretty quiet, often giving barking dogs a look that says, “please don’t disturb my peace.” This smart little guy graduated our PAWs to Prison training program and is very treat motivated. He learned an impressive list of commands, including sit, stay, down, bow, wait, come, rollover, paw, leave it, and fetch. He’s eager to please, quick to learn, and always ready for a snack or a training session. When he’s not showing off his skills, Nacho loves soaking up the sunshine and relaxing in warm, cozy spots. Nacho’s dog-friendly and has a soft spot for small female dogs, even if they occasionally try to boss him around (he’s more lover than fighter). Nacho is crate trained and still working on house training, making him a great candidate for someone ready to help him polish his skills. He has a hilarious little quirk—he loves carrying around a toy he’s completely obsessed with. When it’s time to eat, he faces a very serious dilemma: does he keep the toy in his mouth, or set it down to enjoy his meal? Watching him carefully weigh this decision is endlessly entertaining and gives you a glimpse into his thoughtful little mind. Nacho is a truly wonderful pup—funny, gentle, and full of charm—and he’s ready to bring joy and laughter into his forever home. March 11, 2026, 2:39 pm

Story
Meet Bella Bella is a smart, sweet girl with a quiet confidence about her. She’s independent by nature but forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. Once you’re in her circle, she’s loyal, affectionate, and always ready to accept a treat (her love language!). Bella is dog-friendly and does well mingling with other dogs. While she’s not overly playful, she coexists comfortably and enjoys being part of the pack. She is crate trained and appears to be house trained as well. Bella would thrive in a calm, structured home. She can be wary of some men and will need a patient, experienced adopter who understands how to build trust slowly and respectfully. Because of this, we are recommending a female-only home or a home with a dog-savvy male who is committed to proper introductions and giving her the time she needs to feel safe. She may not demand the spotlight, but Bella has so much to offer the right person — intelligence, independence, loyalty, and a steady companionship that runs deep. Sometimes the quiet black dogs get overlooked, but Bella is proof that beauty isn’t about flash — it’s about heart. And her heart is worth getting to know. If you’re looking for a smart, independent companion and are willing to earn her trust, Bella may be your perfect match.June 24, 2026, 7:01 pm
