Story
This litter of pups look like a blend of maybe dachshund and chihuahua and I-don’t-know-what! I really cannot tell at all, but they are about the cutest, sweetest, most robust little monkeys I have fostered in my over 20 years of doing rescue!
These little cuties were born here at their foster home – they’ve been handled literally since the moment they were born and they are healthy, friendly, sassy, darling little sweethearts.
They were born 7/21/2026, and they’ll be ready for their forever homes when they’re about nine weeks old.
Momma Hazel was found in the desert and was very pregnant.
A “good Samaritan“ brought Hazel to the vet who confirmed that Hazel would have her puppies in a couple weeks.
There are both boys and girls, and if you’d like to meet them quickly, you can get your pick of the litter - each one is cuter than the one before!
These little dolls will probably grow up to be maybe 30 pounds – it’s hard to tell because we’ve never met the papa dog. Hazel herself weighs only 23 pounds so we’re just guessing.
Hazel’s babies are already great with kids and other dogs and with kitties.
They are perky, playful, alert, and happy puppies. There’s not a lot I can say about puppies other than I think they will make the best companion dogs you’ve ever met because they are great with kids and very friendly!
They are all darling, happy, and silly They are spunky and full of love and puppy kisses.
Puppies are a lot of work – training is critical, particularly with a dog who will be as big as we think these babies will be. PLEASE – do not adopt a little one (or any doggie whatsoever) on an impulse – it’s a good 15-year commitment, and these living creatures deserve forever, loving homes!
Of course, their adoption covers their spay or neuter, all their baby shots (3 DA2PPv’s), their Bordatella inoculation (for kennel cough), and their rabies shot. It also covers incidentals like worm meds or flea meds, as needed.
I am a firm believer is having potential adopters take a pup home for a “sleepover” to see how your family, your other pets, and your new best buddy all get along. We always take our rascals back if it isn’t a good fit.
