Story
My name is Marli! I am four years old, but I act more like a one or two year-old dog- I have loads of energy and love to walk for miles! Fetch is one of my favorite activities, and after I’m nice and worn out, I will cuddle up to you on the couch. I attach very strongly to my people but am friendly with new humans too.  I get along great with other dogs! I’m in a foster home with cats and used to be pretty excited to chase them, but I have learned that that’s not really that fun so I get along with cats now. My ideal home would be a home with lots of activity, walks  and playtime! I would love to find a young dog to live with so I can wrestle with him/her!  I need a home where someone is home most of the time and will not leave me more than 4 hours and a home with no children.  My new home needs a fenced yard.  I am not suited for an apartment, condo or townhome. I am working on my leash manners, but have a way to go and I do have a tendency to bolt out doors if given the opportunity so I do need a home who will provide me with lots of structure and potentially work with a trainer to help me with my bolting and leash manners. Other than those two things, I’m pretty much perfect and I just light up the room wherever I go!  An application can be completed at www.hfaccr.org   COLORADO ADOPTION ONLY March 29, 2026, 8:50 pm

Story
Meet Billy! He is 10 years old, neutered, chipped and up to date on shots and just had a dental last month. Billy is HILARIOUS and has a zest for life that we all should envy! He makes everyone laugh every day and is truly a joy. Billy LOVES being outside on warm days and needs a yard. He loves other dogs and needs a dog buddy. We are recommending a home with kids 12 and up for this buddy. Here’s a bit more about Billy: Friend to all humankind as well as dogkind and catkind Loves to go for a walks- in the park, in the forest, on the mean streets of suburbia. Loves all foods, including most vegetables and fruits and even lettuce (coated in Ranch, of course) Hates the cold, even just a slightly chilly day, but LOVES a good retro sweater vest! Reliably house trained Meerkat impression is on point! Has extra ankle skin that jiggles hilariously on walks and is also stretchy and fun to play with while watching TV, he loves this! Recent dental with 12 extractions! Fewer teeth to worry about in the future! Excellent meaty, chunky feet! Fat meaty feet make dramatic slapping sounds when he gallops, reminiscent of the once great buffalo herds of the American west Energy of a middle aged man who exercises regularly Foster mom is a pet sitter so he comes with built-in pet sitting privileges Adoption includes multiple nicknames including, but not limited to: Billy Bob, Bill Billman, BB Netanbarkhu, Buster, Beetle, Bees Knees, Body-by-Bill. Must announce his excitement on walks verbally much of the duration of the walk Vocal setting frequently get stuck in the On position. This may be due to: excitement, hunger, boredom, petting needs not being met, perceived presence of food, the simple need to hear himself Digs in couches, beds, blankets in search of elusive imaginary badgers Can be mistaken as a redwood log when sun bathing outdoors. Weiner hangs low and gravity comes for us all so an anti-chaffing weeny sling may be in order at some point An adoption application can be completed at www.hfaccr.org COLORADO ADOPTION ONLY March 29, 2026, 8:50 pm
