Story
My name is Braelynn and I am a beautiful little Dachshund girl that is 11 years old and I have lost my sweet senior momma recently. I am so sad to be looking for a new home since my momma passed away.  I am a little on the chunky side and my foster mom says that I am the sweetest and most well behaved, calm Dachshund ever.   I am totally healthy and happy and housebroken and waiting for golden home to spend my golden years left.  Critter Cavalry updated me on all my shots, microchipped me, gave me a dental and did bloodwork.  I got the health and beauty WORKS! So now could someone put me under their holiday tree and give me a present of a new home!?  Could that be you by Christmas?   Contact Critter  Cavalry at Ccrnewengland.com ASAP because I know there are lots of people who will want me!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 3, 2023, 12:39 pm

Story
Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Low-Ride Boy ISO Forever Family HEMLOCK NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Hemlock and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Dec. 3) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!   Name:    Hemlock       Best Guess for Breed:    Dachshund mix   Best Guess for Age:   6-7 years as of Oct 2023        SEX:   male   Approximate Weight:    18 lbs   Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but he can be tested.   Currently Living at:    DC area foster home.   Special adoption considerations: Hemlock is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworm but completed treatment on November 13! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment.  We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the screening process.  When Hemlock arrived in the shelter, he was very scared and shut down. However, he has been making great strides. We think Hemlock would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence. Hemlock is Looking For:    Hemlock is very eager to have his own forever home, where he gets his own humans for sniffy walks and romps in the park and gets to meet new pup and people pals along the way! Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days.    What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once he has spent some time with his foster! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:    The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Please visit Lucky Dog Animal Rescue online at    www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!!    Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact    fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org   !
