Story
Meet Reba – The Perfect Companion for Every Adventure Reba is a 1-year-old Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher mix weighing 32 pounds, and she's the perfect size to join you on road trips, vacations, walks around the neighborhood, or cozy evenings at home. Wherever you go, Reba will be happiest right by your side. This beautiful girl is currently thriving in a foster home, where she has shown just what an incredible companion she is. Reba has excellent house manners, is fully housebroken, and gets along wonderfully with the three resident dogs who welcomed her into their home. She also does well with cats, making her a great fit for many different families. Reba has a gentle, calm personality that makes everyone fall in love with her. She takes treats politely, enjoys spending time with her people, and absolutely loves being around her humans. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or heading out for an adventure, Reba is happiest simply being part of the family. She also has a playful side! Reba loves chasing a tennis ball and is currently learning that bringing it back makes the game even more fun. She walks fairly well on a leash, and with a little more practice, we know she'll be a pro in no time. She's attended adoption events and has never met a stranger. Reba greets everyone with a wagging tail and a loving heart, making friends everywhere she goes. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, easygoing companion who is ready to fit seamlessly into your life, Reba may be the one you've been waiting for. Adoption Fee: $295 Please Note: All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide vet records to confirm that any dogs in the household are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations. Story
**All adoptions include a home visit. You must live in Broward or Palm Beach County. Brookie Dachshund Mix,·2 Years Old, 18 lbs (and working on it). Bubbly, bold, and built for adventure, Brookie is a 13-pound-in-progress Dachshund Mix with a smile that lights up every room, sharing her joy! She is full of herself, expressive, affectionate, and absolutely convinced that she is the most interesting thing happening in any given space. She is usually right. She arrived with a little extra cushion, currently sitting at 20 pounds on a frame that will look and feel its best somewhere around 13 to 15 pounds. This is not a flaw, it is a fitness journey, and Brookie is ready to take it on. She loves to walk with the kind of enthusiasm that makes you want to step up your fitness a bit more. She is looking for a partner who will show up for her daily, and in return, she will show up for you in every way a small, devoted dog possibly can. The transformation that comes with consistent walks and a healthy routine will be one of the most rewarding things you have ever watched happen. Brookie is warm, engaged, and deeply interested in the people she loves. She will burrow under the blankets for the night, giving her people disturbance-free space. She has the Dachshund's famous loyalty and sharp, curious intelligence, which produce a dog who is always watching, always learning, and always ready to be exactly where you are. Brookie comes with one loving heads-up about her back. Dachshunds and their mixes carry that signature long, low frame, which is undeniably adorable and also means their spines appreciate a little extra consideration. Jumping on and off furniture repeatedly adds up over time for this body type, so a set of pet steps or a small ramp next to her favorite sofa or bed is a simple, affordable way to keep her comfortable and protected for years to come. Think of them less as an accessory and more as just part of the furniture, because for a Doxie, they really do become that. It is also worth knowing that Brookie would do best in a home where she can live her daily life on one level, ideally with ground-floor access or an elevator nearby. Long daily stair climbs to an upper floor are harder on her build than they look, and setting her up in a space that works with her body rather than against it is one of the kindest things you can do for her long-term health and happiness. She is ready to find her person, apply now, and get to work on the best chapter of her life. Brookie's adoption fee is $500, which goes directly toward her vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip, as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page.   All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They are never kept in cages or crates unless there is a medical reason, and they are treated as family pets throughout their time with us. Our rescues are fed premium-brand holistic wet food diets along with supplements and vitamins tailored to each dog's individual needs. Every dog in our care receives complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op blood work, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs requiring specialized care are seen by the appropriate specialists, including full cardiac workups, ophthalmologist visits, and biopsy of any suspicious lumps or bumps. Every medical detail is shared transparently with potential adopters. When you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family, and we are here for you whenever you need us. ##2786320##

Story
Hi! This is Willow, she is 6 years old and Loves to run outside! She would do best with someone who has a yard or is willing to be relatively active with her! She’s very active, but very timid and anxious as well. It can take her awhile to adjust to new people and has varying results meeting new dogs. Bigger dogs intimidate her. She loves crinkle toys! She has a fear of thunder storms and will hide in small spaces. she knows basic commands, such as “sit, wait, and come here.” She also needs a home with no cats and no kids (maybe older ones who aren’t squealy or likely to spook her would be okay). But she does love having other doggy playmates, she’s just a bit timid at first but once she warms up she’s a bundle of energy running and playing lol! She is a cuddly girl too! And loves being under blankets!
