Shelter life has been very overwhelming for him, and he’s quite scared right now, but underneath that nervousness is a very nice boy who truly wants to trust. When given quiet time and patience, his soft, sweet personality slowly begins to show. Maxie is looking for a calm home where he can decompress and learn the world is safe again. He bonds deeply to his person once he feels secure and will become a loyal little shadow who just wants to be near you. He could also use a little help on his health journey — Maxie is a bit overweight and would benefit from a steady routine, short walks, and a balanced diet to help him feel his best. With encouragement and gentle support, he’ll gain both confidence and comfort. Maxie doesn’t need perfection — he just needs someone kind, patient, and understanding who will give him the time he deserves.
