Story
Buoy is probably about 4-5 months old. He was abandoned at my husband’s work on Memorial Day and so we took him in. He is a super sweet puppy once he comes out of his shell. Loves to play whether that’s tug-o-war, fetch, or chasing our older dog. He can easily self-entertain when he has toys (or his food bowl). He is easy to train and a very quick learner. Crate-trained and stays in his crate when we are not at home and at night. He is ALMOST house trained (he is still learning how to let us know he needs to go). He does have a bit of separation anxiety. He will cry when you don’t give him attention and when you put him in his crate, but after a few minutes will stop. Very hyper and needs room to run and someone who will play with him and keep his mind occupied. Not fault of his own, we simply do not have the time he needs.

Story
Meet Teddy Piebald, a name befitting a true teddy bear of a dog. With his protective and affectionate nature, Teddy is hoping to find a family to call his own. He is a smart boy, always eager to please and quick to learn, and he loves nothing more than being by your side. Teddy is an adult dog with a heart as big as his name, and he is sure to be a loyal companion to whoever takes a chance on him. Could you be the one to give Teddy the love and home he deserves? A quiet home with few distractions where he is comfortable he becomes the lapdog of your dreams.. Teddy would like to be an only dog if possible...he can adjust to other dogs but really would thrive in a home where he can receive the attention he has lacked so far......a perfect home would be a couple ( retired or work from home, with no kids or other dogs) www.kentuckydachshundrescue.com/available-dogs

Story
FEMALE ADOPTER ONLY*** Buddy is a lover.....if you are a female he will give you his heart.....Want a fellow that's housetrained? He's got it covered. This fellow can snuggle up to you and make you really smile.... He's not pushy about it....He just has a great way with the ladies... He's also voice trained....so when you talk to him, its as though he really understands. Buddy will develop a bond like no other. He's okay being alone for several hours and never tears up anything or soils his surroundings. He is not a barker either....though he does whine some when youre on the other side of the door. He does great with female dogs as companions too ( small like him) but he'd rather not have to negotiate a toy with a male dog....Buddy is gentle and sweet until another dog growls at him, then he will defend himself. He may not be good with other farm animals is his one drawback...he watches them closely through the fence...but right now the roo has a fence between them...so youd never know how it would go....... He's a type of dog that really becomes your soulmate...Want to meet this special fellow? Complete and enter an application,...we will contact you and schedule a meet n greet. https://www.kentuckydachshundrescue.com/adoption-process

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bree is a sweet little senior that is looking for a nice, quiet home to spend her golden years in.  It takes her a minute to warm up to new people, but once she knows you are safe she will be your constant shadow.  Bree’s past times include: napping on the bed, car rides, napping on the couch, slow walks, napping in her dog crate, eating, and napping in your lap.  Do you see the theme here?  This girl is all about comfort.  She’s house trained and will crate quietly, but isn’t destructive so doesn’t have to be, but she seems to enjoy having a large crate with a bed and blanket to relax in with the door open.  So far Bree is good with other dogs no matter the size.  She’s in a foster home with cats and is starting to show she enjoys chasing them so would do best in a home without cats.  Bree doesn’t always like to share her person with other dogs so would do best as an only dog or with another dog who doesn’t want to sit in your lap all the time.     Estimated DOB:   07/21/2020 Adoption fee: $250 (6% KY sales tax included)  We would love to hear from you! To inquire about this dog, please contact us via this site, visit our website sc4paws.org to see a full bio, or visit sc4paws.rescuegroups.org/forms/ to fill out our adoption application. Story
BELLA is a cute lil dachshund ( long hair) with those short stubby legs but a chihuahua face...She's an adorable lil girl but has the " little dog attitude". If you are the one who feeds then you're her favorite person...Bella must be fed alone ( separate room) because she would sneak another pets food and complain lowdly that its hers....She is bonded to Kylo but we have let her spend her day with another male dog and she seems happy...as long as shes the only female...She has no known health issues...just attitude...Shes friendly, takes her time to assess newcomers....Independent but adventurous...She likes to go outside when its warm...and does not mind snow either....housetrained.
