Where are our senior dog lovers?? Because do we have a SWEETIE-pie for you! DJ (male) is 12 years young, and is thought to be a doxie mix. He weighs-in right around 15lbs and is simply precious…in all aspects! DJ *loves* to cuddle! And with the warmer weather (which we hope is here to stay sooner rather than later! ), one of his favorite activities is laying outside — soaking up the sun. He is fully potty-trained (keep in mind, he’s a smaller boy which = a smaller bladder ), and is also crate-trained. Upon his initial arrival, DJ’s foster family did kennel him if they were away…but he’s such a chill dude that with free roam of the house he’s had absolutely no issue! DJ is currently being fostered with kids ages 10, 7, and 5…and he loves them all so much! He’s been friends with everyone and everything he’s met; this little man is such a joy! The resident dogs in his foster home include a 10 year old beagle and a 1 year old border collie/corgi. He does great with them, and has also met countless other pup-friends [as his foster parents dog-sit quite often!]. DJ is so easy-going; he has never had any reservations with new people/4-legged friends, and makes such a fabulous companion. He does great in the car, so would make the perfect little travel buddy! He walks well on-leash, and also minds well when either adults or kids have control of his leash. While he’s overall a quiet little guy, he will occasionally let out some barks when outside in the yard. However he’s easily re-directed and listens well if asked to stop! DJ has no problems will nail trims, loves being your lap buddy, and while he may be 12…still enjoys chewing bones in his pastime. He has so much life (+ LOVE! ) left to give, and we’d love to see him land the perfect retirement home he is ever-so deserving of.
