Story
Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

Story
Meet Sophia Rose 💗 Sophia Rose is a 5 year old dachshund mix with a soft heart and an even softer middle. This sweet girl is currently a little overweight and will need a family committed to helping her slim down safely through portion control and gentle daily walks. She is not a high energy dog and would much rather be curled up next to her people than running laps around the yard. Sophia is calm and very devoted to her owners. Once she knows you, she bonds deeply and loves being close. She is the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room just to be near you. With new people, she can be shy and takes a little time to warm up. She is not reactive or dramatic, just cautious. Given patience and space, she settles in nicely. She would do best in a home that understands she may need a few days to feel comfortable and secure. A quieter environment would likely suit her best, with adults or respectful older children who can give her time to adjust. Sophia Rose is looking for someone who sees the loyal, loving dog she truly is. With a bit of structure and a lot of affection, she is going to thrive. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Alfred, or “Alfie” for short, is a sweet chi mix whose little life didn’t get off to a great start and is still working on trusting his surroundings.  He loves to play with other dogs his own size and after a good romp will curl up in the same bed for naptime together.  While he is wary of new people, he is quickly learning that belly pets are kind of a great thing.  He has even learned that if he climbs the pet steps it leads to the foster’s comfy bed where he can snuggle right in! Due to his skittish temperament, it is recommended Alfie be placed in a home with children over the age of 10. A few facts about Alfie: His favorite game is tug. Bring it on! He LOVES to snuggle….with other dogs and in cozy places.  We think with time and patience, he will actually be a real snuggle bug! Alfie comes to you housetrained.  No accidents!  He will bark when excited but is not overly vocal. He really enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would be happiest in a household with another canine friend. While he isn’t afraid of a kennel, he is not considered kennel trained. Alfie has not been cat tested and his prey drive is unknown. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.  ##2641173##

Story
Hank is an almost one year old mix of Dachshund, Lab, and Corgi who came to BENCHS when his owner needed to move. He has been a loved, well cared for dog and is now looking for a home where he can continue to thrive. Hank is fully potty trained and sleeps in bed with his person at night. He is extremely people oriented and happiest when he knows exactly what his humans are up to. If you are looking for a loyal shadow who wants to be by your side all day, Hank is your guy. He is a vocal dog and is very quick to tell you his thoughts, whether he is excited, curious, or ready for attention. His expressive personality is part of his charm, and he will do best with adopters who appreciate a talkative dog and are willing to continue working on positive, consistent training. Hank is curious and friendly with new people and does well with other dogs, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has spent time around another dog in the family and enjoys canine companionship. He has never been around cats, so a cat free home would be best unless adopters are experienced and committed to careful introductions. He has lots of energy and loves walks and outdoor time. In his previous home, he was used to being let out off leash and returning on his own, so transitioning to leash walks and apartment living will take some patience and consistency. Hank is crate trained, has a positive association with his crate, and does well crated when his person is away. Hank would love a home with lots of attention, daily walks, and a family that enjoys an affectionate, engaged dog. He eats twice a day and is currently fed one cup per meal. If you are ready for a devoted companion who always has something to say and wants to be part of everything you do, Hank would love to meet you

Name: Lady Jane Age: 5 years Gender: Female Breed: Beagle / Dachshund Mix Weight: 46 lbs Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: testing available upon request Child Friendly: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Working on it, prefers to be left out  Energy Level: Low Temperament: Sweet, watchful, quiet, polite Requirement: Not rental  appropriate   Adoption Fee: $375+tax To adopt, go to:  http://www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html Meet Lady Jane - a true lady if there ever was one! Lady Jane will melt your heart with her beautiful brown eyes and eagerness to be by your side. It took her a bit to realize that she was on a new journey and not just a sleepover, but she is happy to be part of a pack and not alone in a crate.  Lady Jane came to us from a family that included her daughter and a third dog as well. It’s obvious she enjoyed being surrounded by lots of loving animals and family. She’s house-trained, praise-motivated, and has excellent house manners. She whines the tiniest bit and might paw at you when she needs to go outside. She prefers to know her people are nearby, but is OK for small amounts of time with just her foster brother for company.  She likes to explore the yard, and sometimes will just sit on the porch to take it all in. She barks just enough to let you know she’s excited to meet new folks! From Lady Jane: “My favorite place to lounge is my own lofty bed since I am unable to jump on the couch.  I enjoy going on walks and love checking out all the new smells! I scout the yard for bunnies and would probably follow my nose wherever it would lead me! The biggest challenge I have is being alone. I’m OK with my foster brother when the people leave the house, and am working on being OK in the kennel little bits at a time.  With help from my foster family I’m getting used to my improved diet and going up and down longer flights of stairs.”     February 9, 2026, 3:16 pm

Tigress is well-behaved, house trained, and leash trained, and she truly enjoys her daily walks.   At home, she’s a total love bug. She loves to cuddle, happily sleeps on the bed, and takes treats gently—especially if baby carrots are involved (her favorite!). She was raised from birth in a home with her mother, giving her a great foundation, and she’s now doing wonderfully on her own.   If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s already got the basics down and a heart full of love, Tiger might just be your perfect match.    February 9, 2026, 5:28 pm
