Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hailey is the definition of a loyal sidekick. She’s been a foster favorite, and it’s no wonder—this girl’s got personality for days. Given up by her last owner, Hailey’s been making up for lost time by staying close to her foster parent. She’s happiest right by your side and will be thrilled to join you on any adventure, big or small. This clever girl is a bit of an escape artist, so a GPS tracker might just be her best accessory. She will chase a squirrel anywhere! She’s a fast runner and has no fear of people—she’ll come straight to anyone who might offer a car ride. Hailey does great on a leash, though she’s still working on her manners and could benefit from a bit of obedience training to curb her enthusiastic pulling. Hailey’s got a love for toys—deer antlers especially—and while she’s a bit of a chewer, she sticks to her own stash, leaving shoes and other off-limits items alone. She’s the definition of affectionate and won’t hesitate to crawl right up under your chin for a snuggle. Bedtime is serious business; she’ll burrow under the covers and settle in for the night, happiest when she’s as close to you as possible. Though she does fine in a crate, Hailey’s not fond of being left alone and can get a bit anxious (expect some nervous drool if she has to be by herself). She’s looking for a family who’s ready for a true companion—a dog who wants to be everywhere you are and is up for anything. Hailey’s loyal, loving, and ready to find her forever person. Hailey is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/15/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
