Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Brody, also known as Rudy, is a 10-year-old Dachshund who's always ready for fun and road trips. He's fond of toys and enjoys car rides, making him a great companion for adventures. While he gets along well with other dogs, Brody can be cautious around unfamiliar humans, so he's best suited for a home without children. However, his feelings towards cats are unknown. Brody needs patient caregivers who understand his breed and are willing to take things slow during the transition. He's treat motivated, which can help with training. Neutered and well-trained, Brody is in good health, though he requires daily medication for his skittishness. If you have experience with Dachshunds and are looking for a loyal companion, consider adopting Brody through Tired Dog Rescue in Gulfport, MS. The adoption fee is $175, and you can apply at tireddogrescue.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Roxy, Roxieeee, sweet baby girl, little mama or anything you want to call me. I am so laid back I don’t care what you call me just as long as you call me!! I love to be wanted and loved  on!!  Life is so great for me now because just a few short months ago I was starved, bald and left in a box outside the shelter on a VERY cold day AND I am BLIND so it was super scary however, that was the BEST day of my life as I found my way to Tired Dog Rescue. They gave me lots of good food, and medicine to help most of my hair come back (the area on my back is still growing) and most of all a TON of LOVE. I have lots of fur foster sisters and brothers and love them all. I am a small little dachshund mix about 10lbs. I am always super happy especially at feeding time. OMG my foster mom said you can hear me screaming down the block. She just doesn’t understand how great it is to eat!!!! I love to snuggle, kiss and to be loved on. I am about 10 years old and almost completely blind. Unfortunately, my vision cannot be repaired as I have both cataracts and glaucoma but thankfully I don’t appear to be in any pain. I run through the house, up and down the stairs, all around the yard and get on and off the bed without any help or any trouble. You should see me go!! I also take a low-cost medicine to help me not be itchy I am potty trained, but I am older so need to go out regularly or I will have accidents. I am still very playful with some of my foster friends so I would love another small pup to play with. I love my people so much so I stay near them and can sometimes get under their feet so please no homes with elderly or children that might get tripped up by me. Also because I can scream really loudly prob best not to live in an apartment. If you are interested in giving me the BEST home where I will be able to sleep under the covers with you at night and who will love me forever please fill out an app at www.tireddogrescue.org!!! My fee is 125.00 and that includes all my vaccinations, heartworm test, fecal test, and microchip. I am also spayed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Well hi there!  My name is Chase Lane!  Nice to meet you!  I am a ten-year-old male black and tan dachshund that weighs twenty pounds.  I am heartworm negative, up to date on all my shots, and neutered!  I am ready to meet you! My foster mom says I’m just the sweetest guy.  I love everyone and everything (that includes food!).  I really like my foster brother (dog) and love following him around the house.  We’re like a tiny legged wolfpack protecting the house!  I would love a new wolfie companion in my future home!  It's unknown how I am with cats, but it can be tested before adoption if needed. I am leash trained and would love to take some slow-paced walks around the neighborhood with my new human.  Oh!  I can say hello to all the neighbors!  Just wait and see how much everyone gushes over how cute I am! I am house trained, and crate trained.  I actually love my crate!  It reminds me of the wolf I am and it’s my safe dark den.  Maybe on the next full moon we could hang out in the yard and work on our howling?  The neighbors will love it, trust me!  Who doesn’t love a good wolf howl?!  I'm not a barker....but the moon is worth a good howl! When I’m not out on wolf patrol, I love my naps.  If you want to watch TV, I will keep your lap nice and warm as I snooze.  That is one of my favorite places to be!  I would like a yard that I can explore and do more wolf things in.  I am not a high energy dog, but I do love my strolls through the grass.  Maybe we could start a garden together!  My dream home would be a calmer home, preferably without very young children that might try to carry me around.  I would also love a human that thinks getting tiny stairs for the couch is a great idea!  I’ve seen them on TV and one day I would LOVE my own tiny stairs.  With my long back and little legs, I just can’t jump around anymore (don’t tell my wolf friends). My foster mom says I listen and mind my manners very well.  I promise to be the best boy in my future home with you and we can make so many adventures together!  If you think this handsome wolf would be a great addition to your home, please apply today!  www.tireddogrescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey there, I’m Deliliah!  Please feel free to sing the Delilah song to me whenever you see me!  I feel like I have my own theme song!  “Hey there, Delilah what’s it like in New York City…”   Sorry, got distracted, it happens!  I am a 10-month-old female brown dachshund mix and I weigh ten pounds!  I am up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and will be spayed before adoption!  First off, the main thing you need to know about me is that I LOVE people.  I can’t get enough of them.  I want to be touching people all the time!  Want to watch a movie…I’ll be on your lap!  Road trip….I’ll be on your lap.   Sleeping…I’ll be on your back!  Must. Touch. If a velcro dog is not your thing, I might not be the right fit.  I just love humans!  Young, old, I think they’re all fabulous.  I love other dogs as well.  I would love a home with my own humans and other dogs to play with!  Oh, that would be heaven.  It’s unknown how I am with cats, but it can be tested before adoption if needed. I’m not a fan of the crate.  My foster mom has been letting me roam the house when she’s gone, and I have caused no issues!  I am not fully housebroken yet so I would need someone willing to work with me and make sure they were available during the day to give me frequent potty breaks!  I’m still a puppy so I’m a work in progress!    Please know that I am still young, I may bark, I may dig in the yard, I might have accidents.  I need a human that can help train me to be the wonderful Delilah I can grow up to be! I am learning to walk on the leash and have been doing really good!  I love watching the birds and squirrels….just fascinating!  Maybe we could take some walks through the woods!  I bet there’s tons of birds in there!  The best part about being a dachshund mix?  I have the wonderful nose but my legs are long!  I can go on nice long walk with you!  Speaking of long, my foster mom says I’m the longest puppy she’s ever seen!  She said I remind her of Slinky in Toy Story.  I haven’t seen the movie yet!  Maybe I could watch it with my forever family!?  Oh, that would be just wonderful!  If you think this slinky dog would be a good addition to your home, please apply today at www.tireddogrescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Maxx is a lively, sweet and charismatic puppy. He is a great cuddler but also loves to play. He is very good about going potty only on the puppy pads or outside. He doesn't love being in his kennel and would rather be with his humans, but he settles if a blanket is layed over it. Maxx is great with foster's 18 mo old son and they play so well together. He is intrigued by cats and wants to play with them. He is such a fun boy and would make a great addition to any family.
