Story
This beautiful girl is a 4 year old chiweenie. She is the last of the terrified group. She is going to require a lot of time and patience to open up and trust. She is the calmest of them and only last because she was pregnant and had to finish nursing babies. This beautiful little girl (only 12-15 lbs) is so ready for a home. She will require a good deal of time and patience but she will shine once she gains confidence. She is not housebroken but she will use puppy pads. She is a follower and will do well in a home with another dog that she can learn from. She is spayed, dewormed, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. If interested in giving this gorgeous girl a chance at a real home, please complete an application found on website. Phelpscountyanimalrescue.net Adoption fee $50

Story
Cooper has had an interesting life.  He was found as a stray and sent to a shelter, then adopted.  His adopter was unable to manage him and so Cooper came into rescue. He is a sweet boy once he gets to know you, but can be aggressive towards strangers so will need an experienced adopter.  He is not house or leash trained, so will need work on both of those.  Because of his tendency to snap if frightened, he should have an adult-only home. He has not been cat tested. He appears to be a dachshund mixed with some sort of terrier (or possibly a wire-haired dachshund, but would need DNA testing to confirm.)  The vet estimates him at 6-12 months old. He has been microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated, and dosed with Nexgard Plus for flea, tick and intestinal worms and heartworm prevention.  He weighs 20 pounds. His adoption fee is $150.00 If you would like to adopt Cooper, email me at thistle88@centurytel.net and request an application.October 22, 2025, 3:53 pm
