Story
Bell is an adorable 11-pound Dachshund with a happy spirit and a whole lot of love to give. This little girl is a mix of sweet and sensitive, and once she feels safe, she becomes an incredibly affectionate companion.Bell can be a bit nervous, especially around new people. She tends to bark at men and small children and will need time and patience to feel comfortable in new situations. Because of this, she would do best in a calm, adult home (or one with older, dog-savvy kids) that understands shy dogs and is willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. With her trusted people—especially women—Bell is a total love bug. She absolutely adores snuggling and will happily curl up in your lap or fall asleep on your chest. These are the moments where her sweet, loving personality really shines. 💛Bell is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs. She has learned to use a dog door, which is a great step forward, and she’s currently working on potty training. She is not yet crate trained and may cry when confined, so she’ll benefit from gentle, consistent training and a home that can help her feel secure. She can be a bit vocal and will bark when strangers are nearby, so continued confidence-building and positive reinforcement will be important for her growth. She’s also still learning her name and may be timid when called, but she’s making progress with patience and consistency.Bell prefers to eat on her own and may be a picky or hesitant eater at times, especially in more stimulating environments. With a higher activity level, Bell enjoys being engaged but also deeply values her quiet, cozy time with her person.Bell would thrive in a home that will:• Provide a calm, patient environment• Help her build confidence with new people and experiences• Continue her potty training and basic skills• Offer lots of snuggles (her favorite thing!)Bell is a sweet, sensitive little dog who just needs the right person to help her feel safe. In return, she’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and the very best cuddles. Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped.
