Story
Gino is a 2 year old red/tan Dachshund. He is purebred, but doesn’t have papers. He was acquired from a breeder in Winnemucca. He is friendly, cuddly, playful, loves squeaky toys, and being with his person. Problem is, his person is a young adult who currently doesn’t have time for him and it’s not fair to him. He does have allergies and would likely require monthly maintenance on allergy medication. We are working on house training. We wears a male wrap when inside. I think he could he could be house-trained if his new person spent the time to frequently take him out and praise him. Right now, his person just isn’t putting his needs above their own. When he does pee in his diaper/wrap, he will tear it off, tear it up, may even eat some of the pieces. He gets along with other dogs and cats. But, he is sensitive to firm demands and discipline. He sometimes yips when going to pick him up or change his diaper/wrap. He is a very nice and has the potential to be a great dog.

Story
Zero is about 4 (We adopted him 3 years ago) He has the energy of a young puppy and we are sad to have to give him up, but with a new baby (maybe another on the way) he isn't getting the attention he needs from us. Trained on the basics like sit, lay down, and stay but can be stubborn about it and will really only do it for a treat. Completely house and crate trained but we must emphasize that he is very high energy and will need a lot of attention focused on play or walks. Needs a harness because he pulls on his leash. Zero is one of the most loving cuddle dusky you will ever meet. He will play for hours on end with other dogs. So if you have another high energy dog, Zero may be a good fit.

Story
Hello, Vinny is 6 years old born and raised in Las Vegas. He is a Dachsund/Chihuahua mix and about 22lbs. Vinny is a very loyal dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side. He enjoys lounging and relaxing, or playing and running around. As long as it’s with you. It’s very important that Vinny finds a home that will be very patient and can give him a lot of attention and training. He happens to get a lot of anxiety when left alone and needs supervision while roaming around. Patience, time, and persistence are key so Vinny can thrive while learning. Vinny is best being an only pet, but with the love and personality like his will feel like a million.

Story
Scotch is a 16 lb sweetheart with a gentle, soft-natured personality. He’s friendly, a little nervous at first, and very submissive, especially around other dogs. Once he feels safe, his affectionate side really shines—he loves to be pet and is happiest curled up in your lap.He gets along well with other dogs and is especially easygoing in social settings. He’s also kid friendly, making him a nice fit for a calm, loving household. His experience with cats is unknown.Scotch has a moderate activity level (level 2) and enjoys a relaxed lifestyle with some light play and companionship. He’s a good eater, has no known medical concerns, and is crate trained—he settles nicely when left alone. He’s still working on potty training but is making progress with routine and consistency. He’s responsive and knows “come” and “leave it,” and is currently working on “sit.” With his eager-to-please and submissive nature, he’s very receptive to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. He would do best in a home that:-Provides a calm, patient environment to help build his confidence-Offers consistency with potty training and routine-Enjoys a more relaxed, affectionate companion-Will continue basic training using positive reinforcementOverall, Scotch is a loving, gentle companion who will thrive in a home that gives him reassurance, structure, and plenty of affection. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will happily be your little shadow. Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills. After you submit an application, our team will review and contact you within 24 hours. The process includes an interview, home check, and meet-and-greet (all household dogs must be present). Renters must provide a lease showing dogs are allowed.
