Ruby Sue (born around January of 2016) is a senior dachshund mix that came to Safe Haven after being surrendered to the municipal shelter due to the owner`s health issues. She is quite overweight, but she is slowly slimming down to a healthy weight. She likes to spend time with our volunteers and staff and enjoys slow and steady walks around the trail. Ruby Sue is looking for a forever family who will provide safety, security, and lots of TLC during her golden years.

Story
Oscar (born around October of 2023) is an active, social, and playful brown dachshund mix. He was picked up as a stray and brought to the community shelter before being transferred to Safe Haven. Oscar is very shy with strangers but seems to warm up quickly after each introduction. He loves to use his excellent `sniffer` on walks around the sanctuary property, and he greatly enjoys using his abilities to search for treats in our ball pit.
