We're pretty sure she was hit by a car instead. Her back leg was mangled, her pelvis was cracked, she had several scuff marks all over. We don't know how long she was injured before we got her, but, the infection was very severe. She spent 3 days on IV antibiotics, before the would remove her leg, then was hospitalized for 2 more days on a pain patch & antibiotics afterwards. She was also spayed at the same time. So it's been a couple weeks, she has healed incredibly well. She is a WONDERFUL girl, very loving & devoted. Follows me everywhere, listens, loves car rides. She's pretty calm & chilled, enjoys just hanging out with her person, watching TV or porch sitting. Walks great on a leash and harness. We're looking for a quiet, safe home, where she won't be stepped on, she really can't do many stairs (a couple is fine) no small kids picking her up, carrying her around. We need a very attentive home to watch out that she doesn't do anything to mess with her amazing recovery. A nice person brought me here in search of my owner... but I was never claimed. I am an older little guy that is already Neutered, Fully vaccinated, current on prevention, and all negative on my heartworm combo test. When I was at the vet I recieved an awake dental scraping due to my age and heart. I have a heart murmur that needs daily meds to keep me at my best. I may not tollerate young childeren very well due to my age and tolerance level, but I am a sweet little guy that doesnt seem to mind cats or other dogs. A meet and greet would be good if interested in me to make sure I get along with your furry friends. Meet Oscar 🐾 Oscar is a one-of-a-kind little guy who is part Chihuahua, part Pittie, part mystery, and 100% lovable! With his long body and short little legs, he’s basically a hot dog with a Pittie smile. 😂❤️ Oscar is super affectionate, playful, and cuddly. At just barely a year old he has plenty of energy and loves to play, but when playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up with his favorite person. He also does wonderfully with other dogs and sleeps like a champ in his crate. 💤 He’s mostly potty trained and is learning more every day. He LOVES food and may occasionally jump on tables or go looking for snacks. In fact, this little genius has figured out how to open Tupperware! We believe some of this comes from his history of food insecurity, so he’s still learning that he doesn’t have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. ❤️ Oscar is sweet, silly, energetic, affectionate, and just the right amount of naughty. He’s looking for a family who will give him patience, structure, cuddles, playtime, and most importantly, the chance to finally feel safe and loved.
