Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.  2/13/2026 Foster mom update: Pickles is an amazing smaller dachshund with a definite need for his person to be around.While he is very chill and cool with people around him, he tends to be a little scared when left alone kenneling is definitely something that you need to do when you were out of the house. He is a huge snuggle gets along well with other dogs and is fully housebroken. I cannot say enough good things about his cool guy demeanor. He does have a spring like action to him when he wants to explore and it can easily get onto couches high chairs or a table. Pickles needs another dog in the home, he has separation anxiety when an only dog that is why he came to DDR. He is OK around cats. Hi! I'm Pickle. I just arrived in Dakota Dachshund Rescue. My foster family is just getting to know me. I'm Cuddle Bug :) I came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue very very pregnant and it was anticipated I would need a c section as I am such a little girl. I gave birth to one big puppy, Lumi, she is a chiweenie. I am done being a momma now, my spay and dental are Monday Feb 23rd. Once I am healed I am ready for a furever home of my own. I love being with my foster mom. I snuggle very well on the couch. I am working on house training as I haven't been outside much since I was caring for my puppy Lumi. I do require a securely fenced yard as I am tiny and dance around a bunch and you have to corner me to catch me and pick me up. Can you be my furever home? I am all puppy teeth and play ;) I use potty pads if they are close but I have lots of accidents as I am just a tiny puppy just getting introduced to the world. I love playing with the other dogs now that I have had some of my puppy shots. I go in again on Feb 27th for my next shot.I have very sharp puppy teeth so I would not be a good fit with small children, I don't realize how bad it hurts if I accidentally bite my foster mom.I am a LOCAL to Sioux Falls adoption only until I am spay at 5 1/2 - 6 months of age. I am 12 weeks old today(Sat Feb 21st) so I can leave my momma Cuddle Bug now, unless you want to adopt us both ;) I love playing and sleeping with my momma. I love everyone. I love playing with the other foster dogs in my foster home. Running, chasing and playing in my foster parents fenced yard is amazing :) I'm learning that kenneling isn't a bad thing, clean blankets, fresh food twice a day, I feel like I have my own maid ;) My foster mom does have me on a diet though as my veterinarian thinks I need to lose a few pounds. I do require a physically fenced yard as I don't walk on a harness and leash and I definitely have no recall at this point in life.Everything is new to me, and listening is not a dachshund's No. 1 trait ;) Can you be my furever home?
