Gus came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue as a breeder release boy.He is just beginning his journey to become a house pet.Gus could use some angels to sponsor him. Gus was diagnosed as Heartworm positive July 27th.He is on doxycycline and oral heartworm preventive monthly now.also on a flea/tick product that kills mosquitoes as well.  First treatment injection will be Sept 23.  Gus will be in the rescue for multiple months while he goes through his treatment.Can you sponsor Gus?He would love you for it.   My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, and microchipping.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2025, 11:51 am

She had her spay as well as bilateral inguinal hernias repaired and a very large lypoma resected, she woke up very sore :( Her dental went well, she did have two big premolars. Anna will go back for a recheck with Dr Paul on Nov 17th.Hi! I'm Anna. I am a recent breeder release girl just beginning to learn to live life as a house pet. I am finally settling in and realizing my foster mom is here to take care of me and won't hurt me. I love having freedom in my foster mom's fenced yard, love being in the house and sitting next to my foster mom on the couch. This journey to become a house pet is a lot! Wearing a harness, dragging a leash around so my foster mom can catch me. A fenced yard is a must for me. I have to be followed around a cornered in order for my foster mom to pick me up. I need to be spay, have bilateral inguinal hernias repaired as well as a much needed dental. Do you have time and patience to help me continue on this journey to become a house pet? I am house trained however I do need to learn a new routineat each new home I go to. I do well sleeping in a kennel. I get along with the other dog in my foster home, except when there are dog bones involved. I get along with people, I am very friendly with all people. I do need a fenced yard as I am a hunter and have no recall at this point. I does OK with a leash but I need more training as walking on a harness and leash are new to me, but I do love to make people happy. Can you be my furever home? Indie is a blue dog which means she can have color dilution alopecia. She is an absolute sweetheart just settling into her foster home.
