Go ahead and buy that dog carrier sweatshirt of Facebook. Athletic-he’s the Husan Bolt of dogs. He also mistakenly thinks he can fly…off beds, couches, car seats. Basically, he’s a Doxie doing Doxie stuff. Experienced owners won’t be surprised, but if you’re a first-time Doxie owner, please read up on the breed, invest in steps and ramps now (he is a pro going up them-just need to work with him on his dismounts!), and keep him crated when aren’t with him. Chill-only when in a deep sleep Clever-ridiculously smart. If he has buy-in, he will be a dream to train. Communicative-his lungs are so healthy. So. Healthy. Confident- 47 pounds of confidence in a 14 lb body Curious-you will never go to the bathroom or shower alone. Enthusiastic-his amp goes to an 11 Extroverted Food-motivated the most. Hide your tots, hide your sonic, hide your fries! Gentle Goofy Independent Introverted Lazy Patient Playful-zoomie king Protective absolutely! From inside the car or across the street. Quiet Quirky-shoe thief-will make your underbed his den and commandeer all your footwear. He hates baths but will standup to his tummy in his water bowl while drinking. Resilient-he doesn’t let any setback get him down. Shy-Don’t know her Snuggly the snuggliest. In a non-Ed Gein way, he wants you to wear him like a necklace anywhere you go. I think he’d be living his best life as an only child with a human who stays home or has a job where they could take him with them.

Story
This is Stella! We adopted her about 1.5 years ago from a dog rescuer. She is a 4-year-old Dachshund/Blue Heeler mix who is spayed, house-trained, and crate-trained. We were told she came from an abusive home, so she can be anxious and needs a little time to trust new people. Once she connects with you, she is very loving and will want to be by your side. She loves running, chasing balls, playing with plushies, and going for walks. She does great on a leash, knows how to sit, and comes when called. She does well with older kids who understand when she needs space to rest. Car rides make her nervous, but she does well otherwise. Unfortunately, our circumstances have changed and we can no longer keep her. We are looking for a loving, patient home where she can feel safe and become part of the family.

Caillou has come a long way. This boy was so sick when I got him. Emaciated was not eating or drinking spent 2 nights in the er diagnosed w auto immune. He is now eating, drinking playing and all the skin bumps are gone. He has had a dental, his rabies, microchipped and neutered. He is not able to have his booster due to the auto immune and he must stay on prednisone for life and get check ups as needed. He is very bonded w me and will take time w anyone new. adoption fee is $250

Ziggy was very unsure at first but he now has warmed up and is enjoying his time here. he is great with other dogs and he is housebroken. he also walks well on his leash and will be perfect for any family. he is ready for a home now he is neutered all shots, hw negative and microchipped. he is on joint supplements for bad hips but he is in no pain and gets around great and needs no medical from vet. adoption fee is $400

Story
Hobo was found as a stray in October of 2021. We picked his name because someone found him walking along railroad tracks. He was brought in and was understandably timid and anxious. While we have tried to work with him and help him come out of his shell, we believe he needs an owner that can give him more time and knowledge than we can, perhaps someone who works from home. He seems to be good with other housemates who are in his home with him but can be snippy with outside pets. His very anxious and timid nature has led us to believe he might not do well with children, though he’s never had a specific incident. Hobo is very calm and loves being a couch potato and somone’s lazy lap dog. He is a senior dog, and seems to have some cognitive deficits like seeming confused outside sometimes, or not understanding what is being asked of him. He just needs someone who can give him the time and patience he deserves to become a happier pet.
