Paloma’s current weight is 18lbs and their estimated DOB is April 2021. They are last chance for life dogs out of Texas, so not much is known about their past. While in foster care with us they have been clean and quiet in their crates and working on basic obedience and leash skills. They have done well with all dogs they have met here, and are joyful, playful pups who adore each other and do everything together. We are looking for a home with children over the age of 8, or an adult only home for these cuties. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. He is a good citizen with other canines once he knows them, and he requests a secure fenced yard and friends for him to romp and run with. Choco learns to trust his people, though he is not always so sure of new people. Choco is smart and loves cookies, chewy bones, and other toys and treats. He came to us as a nearly feral dog, and although he has come incredibly far with us, he is not perfect. He is not a snuggly type dog, but likes to share space with you. He thrives in a place that doesn't have huge expectations for him. He has yet to come to understand walking on lead, and it is unclear whether this will ever truly happen. He likes to come and sit with you and hang out where you are, and it is well worth getting to know him. That family shoved him into her arms and drove off, never looking back. The whole exchange lasted a couple minutes. Fast forward to today, his current mom is about to check into a substance abuse treatment facility. She’s also facing eviction amidst leaving behind an unhealthy relationship with her partner of 2 decades. She mustered up all the courage and willpower she had to reach out to us for help because she wants the best for Robocop - a safe, stable and loving home so that she can focus on recovery and being the version of herself she’s always wanted to be. We have the utmost respect for her grit and determination, and are supporting her journey of recovery by finding Robocop his forever home. He's good with people of all ages and indifferent towards other dogs. We were also informed that his first home where he spent the first 5 years of his life, had very young kids and cats, and he did great with them. His most recent home had a large resident dog. Phynn is a 12.4 pound, 2 year old love bug with a silky red coat and the cutest long curled tail you’ve ever seen. He’s the definition of a gentle companion, a little shy at first but once he warms up, he just wants to be close to his person. Phynn would thrive in a low key home, ideally with someone who is home more often, as he truly enjoys that companionship, though he can be left alone for short periods. He gets along well with small, calm dogs his size, but larger dogs can be stressful for him. Because of his sensitive nature, a home with older children or a quieter environment would be the best fit. Phynn isn’t much into toys or rough play. He prefers lounging around, roaming the backyard with his foster buddies, and having the occasional “chat” with the neighbor dogs. This sweet boy is a total cuddle bug. He loves being held like a baby, snuggling on the couch, and even sleeping under the covers with you at night. He’s quiet, laid back, and happiest just being near his person. At mealtime, he’s all in and eats great, and he’s fully house trained and even uses the doggy door.
