Meet Grace – A Quiet Soul Ready to Bloom Currently in Mexico – Can travel to WA with a committed trial family Apply to adopt: www.northwestwagrescue.org Adoption Fee: $600 Quick Facts: Name: Grace Age: 3 years Weight: 8.5 kg / 18.7 lbs Breed: Dachshund mix Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Heartworm Negative: Yes Behavior & Training: Good with dogs Good with kids (though we recommend a home without young children due to her sensitivity) Cat friendly – unknown, hasn’t lived with cats Walks well on leash and enjoys gentle outdoor adventures Fully potty trained Not yet crate trained, but adaptable and eager to learn Sleeps peacefully in a cozy dog bed alongside foster siblings Does well when left alone with other dogs for company Personality:Grace is a soft, soulful, and resilient pup who has blossomed from fear into affection. Once shut down from trauma, she’s now a calm, loving dog who delights in gentle companionship, peaceful walks, and the quiet presence of her trusted humans. She’s not a high-energy dog—Grace thrives in a calm, stable routine and prefers a home where things are low-key and comforting. She’s wonderful with other dogs and truly benefits from canine companionship—especially a confident dog who can help guide and reassure her. Grace may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, her loyalty and affection run deep. She’ll follow you quietly from room to room, curl up nearby, and look to you with eyes full of gratitude and warmth. Grace’s Ideal Home:Grace needs a peaceful, adult-only home or one with older, calm children who can respect her sensitive nature. She would do best with adopters who understand the power of patience and the beauty of slow, steady bonding. A home with another kind, well-adjusted dog would be ideal—she gains so much confidence from having a furry friend around. Her perfect family is one that believes in second chances and understands the joy of watching a once-frightened pup blossom into the loving dog she was always meant to be. Grace’s Story – From Fear to HopeGrace was one of 23 dogs rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Her former caretaker, a man once devoted to his dogs, fell into deep depression and addiction. As his life unraveled, so did the care of the animals depending on him. Eventually, his family intervened—reaching out in a final attempt to save the dogs who had been left behind in increasingly dire conditions. Grace was among the smallest and most overlooked. Malnourished, frightened, and likely pushed aside by larger dogs, she had known only neglect and survival. When rescuers arrived, her eyes were filled with fear and uncertainty. But her story didn’t end there. She was taken into loving foster care, and with the help of an ethologist, began the slow journey toward healing. Day by day, she regained trust. Her tail began to wag. Her eyes softened. Her spirit, once dimmed, began to shine again. Grace is Ready for Her New BeginningGrace is a survivor—gentle, loyal, and quietly brave. She’s looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, and peaceful companionship. She doesn’t need much—just a calm routine, a cozy spot to rest, and a heart that’s open to letting her in. Will you be the one to offer Grace the safe, loving home she’s waited so long for? Grace is in Mexico and ready to travel with a committed trial family. Story
ChuyAnimal Profile: Chewy is an estimated 12-18 month old, ~15-20lb chihuahua/dachshund mix (best guess) who was found as a stray in San Bernardino and completed his stray hold with our rescue partner ARF. He has been assessed to be friendly and social with people and dogs. He loves to run and play with people and is absolutely adorable; we are smitten! We will share more information as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Updates: Meet Chewy! He is your perfectly sized friend, just under 20lbs and ready for all your cuddles and adventures! Chewy was pretty nervous when he first arrived with us, and needed a few days to acclimate and realize he was in safe hands. After a few days of decompressing, he was ready to show off his cuddly side and love for cozy dog beds. Chewy is a great companion in his foster home. He bonds quick with his people and loves to hangout by your side and accompany you on house tasks or keeping you company if you work from home. He is still a bit nervous in the outside world and can be intimidated by other dogs or new people. He does best with a slow introduction when meeting someone new, and he is curious about other dogs but does best with a confident handler on the other end of the leash. Chewy is learning some great leash manners in his foster home and getting more comfortable day by day. Chewy would do best in an adult-only forever  home. He wouldn't mind being a solo dog, but would also benefit from another calm, confident dog in his pack.  Adoption Information: Adoption fee is $575 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, recent vet visit and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Ruffles was a stray intake in San Bernradino, rescued in collaboration with our rescue partner ARF, and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 3/2/25. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 21, 2025, 7:37 pm

Story
This sweet, gentle girl was found alone on a cold morning at the malecón, shivering and in need of love. Now safe and cared for, Chipi is ready for a quiet, loving forever home. She’s calm, affectionate, and a bit shy—loud noises can startle her, so she’d do best in a peaceful environment. Chipi loves sunbathing, curling up in bed, and playing with other dogs. She knows basic commands like “stay,” “come,” and walks nicely on a leash.Chipi would thrive with patient adopters who can give her the time and tenderness she needs to feel safe. A calm household, possibly with other friendly dogs and people who shower her with affection, would be ideal. If you’re looking for a gentle soul to share cozy days and quiet companionship, Chipi could be the perfect match. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Noble is about 4 years old, 10.6kg(23.4 lbs), 32 cm(12.6 inches) tall, neutered boy.   Noble is a sweet and affectionate pup who wins hearts wherever he goes. He’s incredibly social and loves human interaction — not just with familiar faces, but with strangers too! He’ll happily approach new people for pets and cuddles, even showing his belly to someone he just met. He’s gentle and patient with children, especially those under 13, and he can be comfortably picked up with arms under his belly.   Noble enjoys meeting other dogs and greets them politely, but he prefers the company of people over playtime with pups. His reaction to cats hasn’t been observed yet.   He has a moderate energy level — he enjoys outdoor activities like walks but is calm and relaxed once back home. He’s an experienced walker and doesn’t pull on the leash, staying close to his human companion. He’s not food-aggressive and shares his space and food nicely with people and other dogs. He also travels well in a kennel and remains calm during transport. Noble was rescued from a city shelter where he had been neglected and left untreated for a skin condition. As a result, he has some permanent hair loss on his forehead, chest, back, and behind his ears. While his fur is unlikely to grow back in these areas, he is currently in good health and has no ongoing skin or medical issues. Noble is ready for a loving forever home where he can share his affectionate and gentle nature with his new family. Could that be you? You can also check his post on our Facebook (Link to Post) or Instagram (Link to Post)   Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ AKR dogsHe can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers.
