Bryxton is the sweetest boy anyone could have. It breaks my heart have to rehome him, because I have had him since he was just 3 months old and I love him so much. Unfortunately, I no longer have the support I once had and my career causes me to be away from him for days at a time and as selfish as I want to be by just keeping him, he does not deserve that. Bryxton is such a funny, quirky, cuddly, smart, curious, vocal lapdog. He is my little velcro baby. You can always count on him for cuddles when it’s time to nap or go to bed. He enjoys snacks, running around fields and watching tv, like legit watching it lol. Anyone would be lucky to have my sweet boy! Meghan is a bit shy at first when meeting new people, in new environments and may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’s all about affection and spoiling you with her gentle love. She truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to her person, soaking in love and giving it right back. Her energy level is beautifully balanced, not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. She enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. She’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced her to. She has met dogs her size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice her size! She isn’t a super playful girl with other dogs; she prefers calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play. She would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  **Charlie and Cody: Bonded Dachshund-Corgi Mix Brothers**   Charlie and Cody are gentle, reserved brothers, about 10 to 12 months old, both neutered. They were left at the shelter with their three sisters, and after being separated from them, the boys formed a strong bond. Now, they are affectionate and starting to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. They are gradually building trust with their foster family and getting used to their new home. Both are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They are current on their vaccinations and have no known health issues, so they are ready for adoption. Their foster home does not have a fenced yard, and because Cody and Charlie are still settling in, they have not yet started using harnesses or going for walks on a leash. That training will begin soon. We hope the boys can be adopted together into a home with a fenced yard, so they have a safe place for potty breaks and can learn to walk on a harness and leash. Cody and Charlie might be shy at first, but they are curious and want to connect with people. They are motivated by food and will gladly take treats from your hand. They like being spoken to and respond well to a gentle voice. With time, patience, and love, they will become devoted companions. We prefer adopters who have experience with shy or untrained dogs, or who are open to guidance, to help the boys adjust smoothly to their new home. We do not know if they have been around children, so we recommend a home without kids or with children over 12. The Corgi-Dachshund mix, also known as a “Dorgi,” was first bred by Queen Elizabeth of the UK. 🐾 Oh Joey with the sweet eyes!! Meet Joey ! A little shy guy with horrific past that we couldn’t even make up….but,still a heart willing to trust humans! Joey is estimated to be 10 years young and plays like a 5 year old! In Joey’s first home, if you can call it that, he was used as a bait dog, HOGTIED and then tied off to a tree, by hunters to lure predators in to shoot. He is afraid of anything that sounds like a gunshot or other loud noises – he literally shakes in fear, and can be reactive to being touched near his feet until he trusts you. If that wasn’t enough, he was somehow rehomed to an elderly couple with dementia where he was abused – he is afraid of human feet, we believe he was kicked. Joey then landed at a shelter where he was just a puddled shivering fur rug in an otherwise empty dog run. A young family saw him and couldn’t leave him behind, so…they adopted him. And over the next four months worked to overcome so many of his fears! However, in the long run, they felt their active home with young children and his possessiveness/resource guarding of the mom – who he owned as his human, were an uncomfortable fit for both the family and Joey.
