Story
Oscar and Mitzi are a bonded pair of Dachshunds ready to find their new family - together! These two are cute as can be, and love being around their people. Oscar is around 9-years-old and Mitzi is about 11-years-old. Oscar is the more confident of the two and is first to investigate everything, and Mitzi follows behind. They have lived together their whole lives and are ready to face the next chapter together. These two do well with other dogs and cats, though any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. They will likely do well with older kids who can handle them gently. If you're ready to welcome home this dynamic duo - make an adoption appointment to meet them today! Story
Baboo (full name Baboushka) is 9 years old as of November 11, 2023. He was rescued from a county pound in 2016 and has lived in California, Peru, Idaho, and Washington! He is a well-traveled dog, and loves to go for car rides, walks and stroller trips. Baboo has IVDD, which started when he was 4 years old. He went into immediate surgery, 24 hours after symptoms developed and spent 9 months in rehab and therapy until he started to walk again. His owner spent the next three years slowly working with him to get him to where he is today! He can go on short, slow-paced walks, do some mild wrestling and live happily and painlessly thanks to a lot of hard work and patience on his part. He's come so far, has a big heart and is looking for his perfect cuddly family! He cannot jump, run or be overly active, due to having 3 herniated discs removed, and 2 remaining on his spine. He is looking for a forever home, preferably where he can be the only dog.

Story
Meet Cerulean! Cerulean is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section). Cerulean is a solid black, male Dachshund mix puppy. He was found as an orphan in Texas and transported to WA via airplane by our partner Dog is My Co-pilot. Though a little puppy, he has already had some big adventures! Cerulean has just joined us, and we will be learning more about him in the coming days. He will spend his days romping and cuddling and getting lots of love, attention, playtime, and socialization in his foster home. Be sure to check back for more information on this delightful boy! Want to meet Cerulean? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. We are primarily a volunteer organization that focuses on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.  Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2034164##
