Welcome Waylon to CCPAL Rescue. Waylon is a 6- pound Dashchund mix pup. That is Dashchund/Chihuahua. He is 10 weeks old. He has the traditional markings of the Dashchund. He has a little longer legs and body. He is good in a crate, likes to be held. He is learning the wee pad and gets toys and treats from our adopters. He will get grooming and nail trims at the rescue so he will be fine with that. He would be a great dog for a lover of this breed. A smaller yard would be fine. He would be fine in a doggy daycare as he is very social. He was found as a stray. He is getting neutered and all his vaccinations at the Rescue. He is ready for his forever home. He would be best in a home with someone that doesn’t work all day everyday as he will need to finish up his puppy training. He would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in the CCPAL Rescue in Texas. He can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200 to move him to another state. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Meet Taylor 🐾 Taylor is a 4.5-year-old Dachshund mix with a story of resilience and a heart that is just beginning to learn what it means to feel safe. Rescued in March from a hoarding situation involving 67 dogs, Taylor came into rescue undersocialized and extremely fearful of the world around him. Since then, he has been settling into a loving foster home where he’s been given the time, patience, and space he needs to decompress and begin discovering what it means to be a dog. With each passing day, Taylor is slowly learning that the world can be a safe place, that people can be kind, and that life has so much more to offer than what he knew before. Taylor’s journey is a gradual one, and he’ll need a family who understands that healing takes time. He may not be the dog who runs up to greet everyone or settles into a new environment overnight, but his progress is worth celebrating, and every little step forward is a big victory.
