Story

Tucker is a rescue that we adopted in 2014. He is a very sweet and smart dog. Since we adopted him we noticed that he has some abandonment issues and would be destructive in the house if we left him. We now have three children and unfortunately less time to devote to Tucker. He seems to have some undiagnosed anxiety and needs a home where he can get more attention and less time left alone. When we are all home Tucker likes laying down alone or cuddling up. He does bark at other dogs and will run up to them but has never bitten or snapped. He is very sweet with our kids and has never shown any aggression toward people of any age. He deserves more than we are able to provide due to work schedules and children. He would make a great partner for the right person or household.

Welcome Little Man to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund/Papillion mix pup. He is Black and white with a shorter coat and weighs about 10 pounds. He is getting neutered next week. He lives in a home with a number of other dogs and does great. He lives with an older woman and he is very loyal to her. We are working with him on a harness and leash. He doesn’t know how to walk on leash at this time. He needs to find his forever home. The person he lived with since he was a puppy has had a change in her living conditions and the neighbor has mentioned harming the dogs. When she told us this, CCPAL stepped up for 3 of the dogs. They are all under-socialized but we will work hard to get them used to new things, leash walking, crate training and more. They are a wonderful breed and if you love this breed you will like any one of these pups. These dogs would make great companion dogs and love to be at home with their person. They would already be wonderful for someone who loves the breed and maybe is a person that wants a companion but doesn’t need them to be a dog you can take everywhere. These dogs would be ok around children. We like them to be 10 or older with the smaller dogs. Little Man is in CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
