Story
These adorable Dalmatian mix puppies are bringing the fun wherever they go! While we know their spotted good looks come from their Dalmatian roots, the rest of their family tree is a bit of a mystery—but whatever the mix is, it clearly created some seriously cute puppies.Their story began in Missouri, where they were part of an unplanned litter. Thankfully, caring rescuers stepped in and helped transport them to Wright-Way Rescue, where they were given the chance at the loving futures they deserve.Since arriving, these pups have been growing up in a fantastic foster home filled with kids, other pets, and even farm animals. Their days are spent doing all the important puppy things—running around the yard, playing with the kids, exploring new sights and sounds, and perfecting the art of the puppy nap.The result? Happy, social, curious puppies who are comfortable around people and excited to make new friends. They have playful personalities, bright little minds, and just the right amount of goofy puppy energy.Like most Dalmatian mixes, these pups will likely grow into active, fun-loving companions who will enjoy adventures, playtime, and plenty of attention from their families. They’re the kind of dogs who will happily join you for backyard games, family outings, and cozy evenings on the couch after a busy day.If you’re looking for a sweet, spotted sidekick who has already had a wonderful start learning about the world, one of these puppies might be the perfect addition to your family. Just be ready—between their spots and their charm, they tend to steal hearts wherever they go. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process! Contact us at rescue@wright-wayrescue.org or call us today at (847) 728-5434. Story
Meet Dean!  Dean is an almost 1 yr old Pointer/hound mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He’s very much still a puppy at heart — energetic, curious, and always ready for his next adventure. Dean is currently working on basic manners like sit and “nice,” and he’s learning quickly with treats and consistency. One of Dean’s absolute favorite things in the world is cuddling. If you’re hoping for personal space during movie night… Dean may not be your guy . He will happily climb into your lap, shower you with kisses, and then flop over for belly rubs, channeling some serious Puss in Boots puppy-eyes energy. When he’s done loving on you, he’ll settle in close by — or sprawl out dramatically on the couch or bed. Dean is doing well with potty training and will use puppy pads and go outside. He does get very excited when greeting his people and may have an excited pee, so quick trips outside right after greetings work best for him. He’s still learning how to manage big feelings, but he’s trying! True to his puppy status, Dean is a chewer. Toys, kid items, and anything left within reach are fair game, so supervision and plenty of appropriate chew toys are important. He’s also very curious — including about things he probably shouldn’t be interested in — so a tidy home and guidance will help set him up for success. Dean loves other dogs and enjoys playing and cuddling with them. If one dog goes on an adventure, Dean will happily tag along — and come back together. Cats are still a question mark; he wants to play, but may be a bit much for cats who prefer lounging and being admired from a distance. Dean would thrive in an active home that can provide exercise, structure, training, and lots of affection. In return, you’ll get a hilarious, loving, loyal companion who believes there’s no such thing as too much togetherness. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining pup who will keep you laughing and loved, Dean may be your perfect match   If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $250 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Story
2/21/26 Tranferred to TLCMeet Lacey, a stunning young dog as beautiful as freshly fallen snow. She is approximately a year and a half old and may be a pointer mix. Lacey is full of joyful energy and absolutely adores her toys, playtime with her foster brother, and spending time outdoors exploring the yard. Because she loves being outside and staying active, a securely fenced yard is a must, with a six-foot fence required. Lacey is a big fan of treats, enjoys the company of kids, and balances her playful side with a love for snuggling. She is both crate trained and house trained, making her a wonderful companion for a family ready to give her the space, structure, and affection she thrives on. The adoption fee of $150 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
