Story
Koda was a surrender from another local rescue. He is deaf but has been doing great learning sign language. He loves his foster buddies and plays great with both the tiny puppies and the big rough dogs. Koda has adjusted great to living inside and with a doggy door is completely housetrained. He is not chewing up shoes or phones cords or anything like that. Koda is a puppy but doesn't have that seek and destroy puppy vibe. He loves to take walks and would be a wonderful companion for outdoor activities or he can be just as comfortable laying beside you on the couch. Special needs dogs are the best dogs for anyone wanting to really feel like they saved one that needs it the most. Koda lives in his foster home with 22 fosters and his foster dad says he is a "stand out". FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Koda's adoption fee is $275. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Meet Dasha 💕 Dasha is a gentle, loving soul who’s ready to start her next chapter as the center of someone’s world. In her past, she was a devoted mama who raised many puppies, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled and cherished in a forever home. This sweet girl has a soft spot for the good things in life—especially liver sausage, squeaky stuffy toys, and long, leisurely sniffy strolls through stores where she can carefully select her very favorite toys. She enjoys taking her time, soaking in all the smells, and savoring each little adventure. Dasha is fully potty trained and would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy the love she so deeply deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a nurturing heart and a playful side, Dasha is ready to live her best life right by your side. 🐾💖 When Dasha arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Louisiana, she tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like her to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt her, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep her safe while she recovers. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after her treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that she will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. Stop in and meet her cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email bloomingdale@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 90, and the staff will be happy to help you. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Story
Patty is a sweet female Pointer mix with a gorgeous black-and-white coat sprinkled with charming speckles. She weighs a petite 35 pounds and has a friendly, outgoing personality. Patty loves meeting new people and brings lots of fun, happy energy wherever she goes. Patty arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from a partner shelter in Oklahoma and tested positive for Heartworm. While that may sound scary, the staff believes the best place for Heartworm-positive dogs like Patty to complete treatment and recover is in a loving, forever home. If you choose to adopt Patty, our clinic staff will support you every step of the way—answering questions and guiding you through the process. Heartworm treatment typically takes about three months and includes some simple at-home care to keep Patty safe while she heals. A follow-up test is done six months after treatment begins. The good news? Heartworm treatment has a very high success rate, and the staff fully expects Patty to make a complete recovery! Plus, Heartworm is only transmitted between animals through mosquitoes—never through direct contact. Patty is ready to find a home full of love, patience, and adventure. 🐾💕 For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.
