Amelia is a 6-year-old Pointer mix who loves being active and exploring nature. She is looking for a new home because future military obligations will be taking me away from home for extensive periods of time. She needs a stable home able to care for her. Amelia is:• Friendly with other dogs• House trained and leash trained• Spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated• A loving companion who enjoys snuggling on the couch• Intelligent with a very "human-like" personalityShe thrives as a free-roamer in the home and doesn't need to be kenneled, as she experiences anxiety when confined. While she gets along well with other dogs, she can be territorial over her toys and bones. She is a wonderful hiking companion who loves to run and smell everything outdoors, though she is surprisingly terrified of vacuums, plastic bags, and treadmills!
