Story
I got her from a coworker, and she’s currently 1 year and 2 months old. She’s a silly, nosy, active and playful girl who somehow manages to do it all quietly, you won’t even hear her coming! She’d thrive in a home with plenty of room to run around. She’s great with other dogs, so a companion to keep her company would be the perfect bonus.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ridge was originally found wandering as a stray on a South Dakota Reservation, and he was transferred to MCHS on 6/13/2026 via one of our rescue friends. He is a gentle giant of a dog who currently weighs 76 pounds. He could be around 2 years old and is as nice as they come. He will be vet checked and neutered on July 2nd and his fee is $150. Ridge is a large mixed breed boy who has some merle markings and a tail that appears to have been docked, like a Doberman's. We're guessing he could be mixed with at least Doberman, catahoula, and perhaps shepherd. He might need a little basic training but he's willing to please and ready to learn. He loves people and has done okay with other dogs. We honestly don't think he'd have a problem with cats. He will require regular exercise. Kids over 8 would be best due to his size. Ridge is an incredibly social and nice dog. If someone is looking for a velcro dog, Ridge would be a great choice. He's simply the best! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 23, 2026, 10:43 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lex is an approximately 2 year old mystery mixed breed who arrived from the city pound on 7/5/2025. We're still not sure which breeds are in his genetic makeup, but there could be some kind of shepherd and other herding breeds, like border collie. He has been fully vetted and microchipped and his fee is $150. Lex is a little bit shy at first but becomes a total lovebug within a few minutes. He definitely has some puppy energy in him. He will need some basic training but seems very ready and willing to please. Lex will need a lot of exercise to keep him happy and well balanced. We're thinking he would do best as the only dog in the home, at least until he gets some good training under his belt. Smaller animals are most likely a no for him.
