Story
Tia and Blessing are still seeking a forever home that will adopt them as a pair. They are 3.5 years old and very bonded. They were adopted as sisters and surrendered when their owner had to move. Both girls are house trained, love the yard, crate trained and do great with other dogs. Tia has a spine deformity from birth, but that doesnt slow her down at all! She was evaluated by OSU and they only recommend a home with few stairs. Blessing is outgoing, while Tia is a little more reserved. They will steal your heart the minute you meet them. Because they need to be adopted as a pair, we have a sponsor to cover the adoption fee for one of the girls. Please consider opening up your home this Holiday season for Tia and Blessing. You can apply at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Sugar is a sweet, 45 pound Dalmatian mix who is about 2 years old. Shes a happy, playful, high-energy dog who loves long walks, playing with toys, and car rides. She also enjoys snuggling up with her people after a fun day. Sugar gets along well with kids and other dogs while being curiously friendly around cats. She is mostly house-trained but can have the occasional accident when she gets excited. Sugar would make a wonderful companion for a family or person who wants an affectionate, active dog that is always ready for fun and cuddles. Sugar has interesting markings with her one little eye brow. Sugar was an excellent mama to her 7 babies and now she is looking forward to her own forever happy!!You can apply to meet Sugar at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Sugar is $250. Story
Henley is a 2 years 1 month old Dalmation weighing 61 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray so his history is unknown, he did come to us very underweight with skin issues. Henley is a big boy who doesn't know his own size or manners. He's very affectionate, gives kisses and like to sit between your legs for pets & neck rubs. He is very smart and a quick learner, with training he'll be much more manageable. He's very playful-loves stuffed toys, puts a high value on squeaky toys and bones/treats and can exhibit some resource guarding, because of this we recommend no children be in the home. Treat motivated, has learned commands sit & shake. He's newly neutred and still marks his territory. Good with other dogs-wants to play. Good with baths. Loves peanut butter-will eat anything. His adoption fee is $250, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!
