Story
Pongo was born in December 2024 and weighs 47 lbs . Pongo does well with other dogs and children. He loves to play fetch and go for walks. We are addressing his skin issues and will be scheduled to be neutered soon.Pongo is participating in the cell dog program which is where the dog stays at the prison with a dog handler working on basic obedience and house, crate, and leash training. It’s an amazing program! We will start taking apps but she will be in the program for a few weeks so please be patient. The adoption fee covers the neuter at our vet, vaccines (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) dewormings and heartworm/lyme testing. If you are out of the area, you would be responsible to complete the vetting that has not been completed by the time of adoption. You can apply on our website:https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html  ***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries. Please remember that  we are 100 % entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014Apply at https://theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form/

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Im looking for a loving home for my beautiful 3-year-old female Dalmatian. She has the classic Dalmatian personality. energetic, playful, and very sweet. She does great with people, children, and other dogs, shes a very friendly girl who enjoys attention and being part of the action. She currently lives with cats and gets along well with 3 of my 4 cats. One of my cats is aggressive toward her and has hissed and tried to attack her, and she has nipped back at that cat before, so a home without an aggressive cat would probably be best. She does not do well with chickens, so she would need a home without poultry or farm birds. She was previously housebroken when living inside. Right now she stays in a room that has access to go in and out on her own, so Im not completely sure how she would adjust back to full indoor house living, but with consistency she may pick it back up quickly. She would likely do best with an active family who understands the Dalmatian energy level.

Story
Sugar is a sweet, 45 pound Dalmatian mix who is about 2 years old. Shes a happy, playful, high-energy dog who loves long walks, playing with toys, and car rides. She also enjoys snuggling up with her people after a fun day. Sugar gets along well with kids and other dogs while being curiously friendly around cats. She is mostly house-trained but can have the occasional accident when she gets excited. Sugar would make a wonderful companion for a family or person who wants an affectionate, active dog that is always ready for fun and cuddles. Sugar has interesting markings with her one little eye brow. Sugar was an excellent mama to her 7 babies and now she is looking forward to her own forever happy!!You can apply to meet Sugar at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Sugar is $250. Sugar is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.

Story
Tia and Blessing are still seeking a forever home that will adopt them as a pair. They are 3.5 years old and very bonded. They were adopted as sisters and surrendered when their owner had to move. Both girls are house trained, love the yard, crate trained and do great with other dogs. Tia has a spine deformity from birth, but that doesnt slow her down at all! She was evaluated by OSU and they only recommend a home with few stairs. Blessing is outgoing, while Tia is a little more reserved. They will steal your heart the minute you meet them. Because they need to be adopted as a pair, we have a sponsor to cover the adoption fee for one of the girls. Please consider opening up your home this Holiday season for Tia and Blessing.Apply at ricopetrecovery.org
