MacKenzie is a very sweet boy, but he is very, very timid and will require a very specific type of home. He is a 45 pound, healthy 1 year old Dalmatian Mix. (DNA tested) He is neutered and vaccinated and ready for his forever home. He is smart and funny and loyal. MacKenzie is very sweet and loves to play with other dogs. He's been around dog-friendly cats without any issues. He is a very shy dog and needs to be adopted by someone who has the time and interest in helping him adjust to new environments and new people. He is more fearful of men than women. He is not aggressive, but any dog might snap if pushed past their limits and his limits are narrow. He is just shy and under-socialized. A person or family that doesn't need a dog to go out to new places often and who has a steady circle of friends would be great. He is an indoor dog. He is medium active and needs a yard to play in. He will eat yard debris and therefore he needs a yard that does not have acorns or anything else that is toxic to a dog. He doesn't like being at home alone, and will chew up cloth, so he needs a family where someone is home most of the time. MacKenzie needs typical supervision for a dog his age. He takes care of his potty business outdoors but he is still learning right from wrong about things on countertops, therefore he still needs supervision or a crate when home alone. If you think your home is right for Mackenzie, please visit our website to fill out an application: www.ssfdogs.org.
