Story
Meet Louie, an active 8 month old purebred Dalmatian who checks all the classic breed boxes: athletic, playful, smart, and loyal. Louie is fully potty trained, crate trained, up to date on vaccinations, and a graduate of 10 professional training sessions. He knows sit, lay down, paw, come, and stay (treats unlock instant genius mode). He’s still polishing his leash manners, but he’ll impress you with his backyard fetch speed and his sneaky snack-snatching talents. Louie is happiest right by your side, and his charm and dashing good looks tend to turn heads wherever he goes! Louie thrives on action and engagement, so if you’re looking for a couch potato, he’s not your guy. He’s mouthy in a playful puppy way and has a naturally high prey drive, so he’d do best in a home without cats or small children who aren’t yet able to respect a dog’s personal space. Our little one’s enthusiastic hugs and tackles are a bit much, helping us realize Louie needs a better-matched, long-term family.

Story
Hi, my name is Cooper!I’m a goofy, loving, and loyal boy looking for a calm, forever home where I can finally feel safe and understood. I’ve been at the shelter for a while now, and no one really knows why—I`m smart, cuddly, and full of love once you get to know me!I’m not much of a barker, but I do love to “talk” to my people—my previous foster mom never quite understood what I was saying, but she always laughed and smiled. I’ve been abandoned before, so meeting new people can be scary for me. I may bark at first, but it’s just because I’m nervous. Once I trust you (especially if you bring treats), you’ll be in my pack forever.I’d do best in a quiet home with no children, or only older kids who truly understand and respect boundaries. I need a confident dog-savvy adopter who will commit to helping me build trust and confidence through positive reinforcement and patience. I’m reactive to most people when walking, so I’ll need someone who is willing to work on this with me using calm exposure and consistency.I’m house-trained, trustworthy outside of a crate, and love both outdoor adventures and couch snuggles. I’m also super food-motivated, so training with me is fun and easy! With structure, exercise, and love, I’ll show you just how amazing of a companion I can be.If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, low-key best friend, I’m your guy. I just need someone to believe in me.My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Hi! My name is Avery, and I’m a happy, playful girl with a big heart and lots of love to give. I absolutely love playing fetch and running around outside—especially when the weather is warm and perfect for playtime. When I’m done burning off energy, you’ll usually find me curled up close, soaking up all the cuddles I can get.I’m crate trained and doing really well with my potty training—almost there! Since I’m still teething, I really enjoy my chew toys and do great when I have them to keep me busy. I’m not fearful, don’t have separation anxiety, and I do wonderfully with children of all ages.I’m still learning about the world and would love a family that’s excited to grow with me, play with me, and cuddle with me. I’m ready to be part of a loving forever family—maybe that’s yours! My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention.
