Story
Koda was a surrender from another local rescue. He is deaf but has been doing great learning sign language. He loves his foster buddies and plays great with both the tiny puppies and the big rough dogs. Koda has adjusted great to living inside and with a doggy door is completely housetrained. He is not chewing up shoes or phones cords or anything like that. Koda is a puppy but doesn't have that seek and destroy puppy vibe. He loves to take walks and would be a wonderful companion for outdoor activities or he can be just as comfortable laying beside you on the couch. Special needs dogs are the best dogs for anyone wanting to really feel like they saved one that needs it the most. Koda lives in his foster home with 22 fosters and his foster dad says he is a "stand out". FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Koda's adoption fee is $275. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Petey is a joyful, grateful puppy whose constantly wagging tail tells you exactly how happy he is to be loved. This 8.5 month old pup weighs 35 pounds and appears to be a Lab mix with English Pointer looks, bringing together playful puppy energy and a wonderfully calm off switch. Petey loves running and playing in the yard, then happily heading inside to relax on a dog bed or in his open crate. One of his most endearing habits is choosing a toy or chew from the toy box and carefully carrying it to his crate or bed, sometimes gathering a few favorites before settling in to relax. He understands sit and come, is very treat motivated, and truly wants to please, which makes him a great candidate for continued training with someone who enjoys working with their dog. He is fully housetrained, quickly learned to use a dog door, and has never had accidents indoors. Petey sleeps quietly in his crate all night, eats his meals there, and sees it as a comfortable, happy place to rest. He walks nicely on leash without pulling and enjoys trail walks, often alongside another dog. Petey is affectionate, gentle, and social. He does well with dogs of all ages, respects older dogs, loves playing with younger ones, and has been wonderful with adults and children. He enjoys meeting new people, soaking up attention, and even lining up for brushing time. A fenced yard and a home with another dog would be ideal, though he would also thrive with a family or person looking for a loyal, loving companion willing to continue his training. If you think Petey could be the perfect addition to your home, please contact us for more information. Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Feb 7th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. February 2, 2026, 3:30 pm
