He's the kind of dog who enjoys being part of the action, whether that's exploring, playing, or just hanging out with his people. He has participated in shelter playgroups, where he's shown he enjoys social time and staying engaged. Bear has that classic Kelpie curiosity and intelligence, making life with him fun, interactive, and full of personality. Story
Sage came into our care after we found him injured on the beach on Kauaʻi and unable to walk. We took him in, got him veterinary medical care, and gave him a safe, quiet place to heal. We learned his owners could not care for him. With consistent care, he's regained his strength and is now healthy, active, and enjoying life as a puppy. Sage is about 9 months old and ~40 lbs. He is gentle, affectionate, and very intelligent. He learns quickly, responds well when spoken to, and is house/potty trained and crate trained (goes in on his own to sleep). He loves car rides and prefers staying close by (can go off leash at beach w/o issue). We’ve been training and preparing Sage for his forever home. Due to an unexpected return to the mainland, we’re looking to place him directly into a loving, stable home. On-island adopters are welcome, and mainland adoption is possible with Humane Society support (please reach out to me for details). Video of Sage we created: https://youtu.be/MLhkub_a1Tw
