Story
Say hello to the Righteous Gemstones. Mom is Lindy. She and her 6 pups were living on their own in the country and a nice lady was trying so hard to find help for this family. Sadly one pup did not survive but we were notified just in time to save mom and 6 pups. Lindy is only 42 pounds and looks to be a Kelpie. That’s a herding breed…and a perfect medium size. Mom is very laid back and she and her pups are enjoying the lifestyle they have come into. They have comfy beds, blankets, a couch, ac and all the food, water, vetting and love they needed to help them survive. We estimate the puppies were born in late March so that means if all goes as planned they will be fully vetted and ready for their forever homes the last weekend in May. What a perfect time to bring a pup home. If you are interested in adopting please visit our website at funnyfarmpets.org You can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works. The link to submit the application is https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Adoption fees are $399 and if the dog has to be transported out of West TN there will be an additional $200 fee.

Story
Ruby and Marshall are a bonded pair. They have been together with their owner for a very long time. However, their beloved human has passed away, so they are in need of a new forever home. They can go separately. They need someone that can spend a lot of time with them. They are very affectionate and are always starved for attention, as their previous owner gave them all of his attention every day. They are both housebroken and do very well on a leash. They also love to play in a fenced in yard together. Their previous owner seemed to have them on a schedule where he would take them out every 3 hours for paly and potty breaks. Ruby and Marshall would make a great family members for an active family. If you would like to add them to your home, please respond by using the big black button marked: "Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. These dogs are being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road.

Story
Rufus is deaf, but that does not slow him down. He listens with his eyes, loves with his whole body, and bonds deeply with his people. If your ideal day involves a comfy couch, a warm snuggle buddy, and a dog who thinks you hung the moon, Rufus may be your perfect match. This handsome boy is a certified cuddle pro. He often chooses hanging out with his foster mom over playing with his foster sibling, and his favorite routine is simple: eat, sleep, snuggle, repeat. He is food motivated in the most endearing way and will trot right back into his crate after a nap to check if a snack has magically appeared. Out and about, Rufus turns heads everywhere he goes. He walks beautifully on a harness or flat collar, keeps a loose lead, loves to take his time sniffing, and is easy to redirect around other dogs. He is friendly with both big and small dogs, gentle with new people, and enjoys slow paced outings. Despite being a Dalmatian puppy, Rufus is surprisingly mellow. He is one of the calmest young Dalmatians his foster has ever worked with. He does get into bit of normal puppy mischief, but with positive reinforcement and structure, he has the potential to be a standout companion and maybe even a future therapy dog. Rufus is crate trained, working on his house manners, and settling nicely when left alone after some initial barking. He has not lived with kids or cats, though he has been polite when meeting children out and about and would likely be fine with a proper introduction. Rufus loves walks, snuggling close, sleeping tucked in beside his person, playing with other dogs, and of course eating. He is affectionate, people centered, curious, gentle, goofy, easygoing, and eager to please. This special pup is wondering why his forever family has not found him yet. If you are looking for a sweet, sensitive, medium energy companion who brings calm joy to every room he enters, Rufus is ready to meet you. At Green Dogs Unleashed (GDU), we are dedicated to ensuring the successful placement of our dogs in loving, permanent homes. Over the years, we have seen an increasing number of returns due to behavioral issues that could have been prevented with the right support. A significant percentage of these returns involve out-of-area clients or those who have not completed training with GDU. To address this, positive reinforcement training with Green Dogs Unleashed is required as a condition for all adoptions. Preference for this dog will be given to adopters who commit to signing up for and completing our six-week Canine 101 training class in person at our headquarters in Troy, VA. Secondary consideration will be given to a limited number of out-of-area adopters who agree to complete one private lesson with GDU, either in person or virtually, and attend a pre-approved positive reinforcement training class in their area. At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application, if you are interested in any of our animals. Application at www.greendogsunleashed.org If you send an inquiry to ask if the dog is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. No, we cannot tell you if he would be a match for your family without seeing an application. PLEASE KEEP READING for info. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: The first communication you will receive after completing an application will be an email response, which will have instructions on how to proceed. Please check your inbox AND spam folders for the next 48 hours, for this email. We will not begin processing an application without the information requested in that email. */*/* We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time. For more information about our mission and for an APPLICATION for adoption, please go to www.greendogsunleashed.com. GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well. */*/* Young puppies will receive age-appropriate vaccines, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional puppy boosters and at 16 weeks of age, a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing and monthly heartworm preventative are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. *****Due to the sheer number of animals and applications in our program, coupled with a limited number of volunteers, applicants MUST have patience as we process applications.   If you do not hear back from us, the animal may have been adopted.   We strive to let people know but sadly cannot offer reasons for denial beyond that.  Any harassment of our volunteers will go unanswered and we will simply block you.   Our volunteers spend their time working hard to ensure the very best for each animal.   Please remember the animal, not the applicant, is our client.*****  ##2514205##
