Story
Hi there, I'm Zed! I'm almost 4 years old, & weigh 60+ lbs. I'm smart, eager to please, friendly to all the people I meet, & extremely loyal to my family.BUT - I'm not the dog for everyone. I'm a little nervous & insecure, & I need a leader who I know I can trust, as I look to my people to show me how to act. I'm unpredictable around certain other dogs, I have lived with many & been great friends with most, but I can get overwhelmed & try to drive away others. I do best with dogs that let me run things, & I've been amazing with puppies - I am incredibly patient with them. But if I don't know someone's in charge, I can also be leash reactive to strange dogs. I'm fine with cats, & even chickens! Young children who aren't dog savvy can push my boundaries, & that's not good for me. I probably do best with kids over 10. I'm not a first-time dog owner, nor am I an apartment dog.Now here's all the good stuff. I'm 100% house trained, crate trained & leash trained. I share toys & treats and all my favorite things easily. I don't chew anything I'm not supposed to. With a leader I trust (men are my favorite), I learn quickly, & listen to what you say. I love car rides too! Fetch is one of my favorite games, although I'm good at entertaining myself too. And this past summer I learned that I like the water, at least I like dipping in the puppy pool. I'm incredibly observant, & notice everything, so my foster mom always feels safe when she's out walking me by herself. But I also adore my foster dad & would make a great ride-or-die buddy for an empty-nest couple or person. My perfect home would be a place where I can be the center of attention, get plenty of walks & fun, & be understood for who I am. If you think you're a fit, I would love to meet you!DATCP#483538

Story
Introducing this oh so handsome young man, his name is Marshall. He is a Dalmatian right around 1.5-2 yrs of age. This sweet goofy boy was rescued from a shelter in desperate need of rescue. He then went into foster care; he has since been completely vetted including having to go thru heartworm treatment. He is a sweet sensitive boy who loves hard. Does get along with other dogs but can at times be a bit selective on which ones he likes, so if he could find a forever home with just being the only baby in the home he would be in heaven. He is house and crate trained and walks fairly well on a leash. As all Dalmatians do, he does have some energy so a nice fenced in yard would be ideal for this big boy. He currently weighs right around 68# so needs room to run. If you think you can give this youngster what he needs an online application can be found at SandiPaws.org ask for MarshallThank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org to fill out an application to adopt. You can find information for volunteering and donations on our site as well.

Story
Adopt a Pet from Mutt Life! Looking to add a furry friend to your family? At Mutt Life Rescue of Wisconsin, we have loving pets waiting for their forever homes. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org Meet Hamilton Hamilton’s story is one of second chances and resilience. This nearly 2-year-old Pointer mix originally came up from a Georgia shelter in February and was adopted right away. Unfortunately, due to unexpected health challenges in his previous home, his family was no longer able to meet his needs and he is now looking for a new forever family. During that time, Hamilton had occasional challenges with the other dogs in the home, which we believe were related to resource guarding his favorite person. With everything going on with his adopter's health issues, it became too much for them to manage and clear that Hamilton would do best in a home where he doesn’t have to share his people. He is now doing very well in a foster home with Mutt Life Dog Rescue in Wisconsin with no other dogs. To set up Hamilton for success, we recommend Hamilton be the only dog in his future home. Despite the changes he’s experienced, Hamilton is a loving, friendly, and affectionate dog who truly enjoys being with people. He is wonderful with all people and is described by his foster as a big sweetheart and an enthusiastic cuddler. Hamilton is potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash, making him an easy companion. He enjoys his walks, settles well at home, and loves relaxing with his humans. He is what we call a “low rider” with short legs that add even more to his cuteness. He is a goofy and playful guy who loves attention and is looking for a second chance. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, and he’s now ready to find his forever home. Age: Almost 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Weight: 50lbs Breed: Pointer Mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Would do best as an only dog Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes Hamilton has so much love to give and is looking for a calm, committed home where he can be someone’s special companion. If you’re ready for a loyal, cuddly best friend, Hamilton may be the perfect match.
