Story
Hi there, I'm Zed! I'm 3+ years old, and weigh 60+ lbs. I'm smart, eager to please, friendly to all the people I meet, and extremely loyal to my family.BUT - I'm not the dog for everyone. I'm a little nervous, and a little unsure, and I need a leader who I know I can trust. I'm unpredictable around other dogs, I have lived with them and been great friends with some, but I can get overwhelmed and try to drive away others. And if I don't know someone's in charge, I can also be leash reactive to strange dogs. I'm fine with cats, and even chickens! Young children who aren't dog savvy can push my boundaries, and that's not good for me. I probably do best with kids over 10. I'm not a first-time dog owner, nor am I an apartment dog.Now here's all the good stuff. I'm 100% house trained, crate trained and leash trained. I share toys and treats and all my favorite things easily. I don't chew anything I'm not supposed to. With a leader I trust (men are my favorite), I learn quickly, and listen to what you say. I love car rides too! Fetch is one of my favorite games, although I'm good at entertaining myself too. And this summer I learned that I like the water, at least I like dipping in the puppy pool.My perfect home would be a place where I can be the center of attention, get plenty of walks and fun, and be understood for who I am. If you think you're a fit, I would love to meet you!DATCP#483538

Story
Scout Needs a Foster or Adopter by 12/6 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Scout is currently in the Arkansas shelter system and needs a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday 12/6. Without a home commitment, he won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Scout Scout is a beautiful Catahoula boy with a kind heart and a striking coat that perfectly matches his gentle spirit. At about 2–3 years old and weighing around 50 pounds, this handsome guy has so much love to give. Scout found himself in the Arkansas kill shelter after being picked up as a stray, but he’s remained sweet, calm, and eager for affection despite his uncertain past. He’s heartworm negative and ready for his chance to start fresh. Scout is good with other dogs, though he’ll be tested again to learn more about his play style. He hasn’t yet been tested with kids or cats. He seems to do fine on a leash. This gentle, loyal boy just needs a safe place to land so he can continue his journey to a better life. He’ll be available for foster or adoption on Saturday, December 6th in Cedarburg, WI when he arrives with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Age: 2–3 years Gender: Male Weight: 50 lbs Breed: Catahoula mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Unknown Crate Trained: Unknown Leash Manners: Okay Good with Dogs: Yes (will be tested again) Good with Cats: Not yet tested Good with Kids: Not yet tested Scout has been through a lot, but his gentle nature and resilience shine through. He deserves a loving home and the chance to know comfort and stability for the first time. If you can foster or adopt Scout, please apply today! www.muttlife.org
